It'll be interesting tonight how England will play before their first game in the World Cup.
Could be a interesting match even though Hungary isn't qualified for the World Cup.
Up to proof England. |
we always play poorly in friendlies, none of the players ever seem particuarly commited so we shall see but im not forseeing anything other than a very underwhelming 2-1 victory or something like that |

Most of the teams who play in the World Cup play poorly in the friendly games.
A lot of teams does this, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if they had a bad day.
They're playing this because of preperations, to see what the players will play like so they can fix it until the World Cup starts.
So, Yes. You're right ;) |

| For england to do their best they need carrick in that holding position. |

Good prediction DRM.
Then I guess it's a good result for you guys, both the result itself and the way you played. |

see im not convinced of that, carrick played wank last time for england, sure give him a go in that role against jamaica but as far as i can see the way carragher played in that role tonight was all that was needed. Yes the only way he's going to pass is backwards but in front of him he has one of the best midfields in gerrard, lampard, beckham and joe cole so he doesnt need to do any attacking. Plus it gives both ashley cole and gary neville a free reign to get down the sides and even possibly rio going forward because hes 100% capable of filling in all of those roles. |

Carrick is a much better passer of the ball though. Look at alonso at liverpool. Carragher did well, but i cant see him controlling a game like carrick could.
Carragher is a excellent CB, hes not good enough as Holdiing mid. He will be found out against the top teams. I think carrick would do alot better. A holding player isnt just about defending. Its alot more then that.
I would be tempted to start with Crouch up front aswell. Massive risk though. But Owen cant play up front on his own. I think lampard and gerrard playing off crouch's knock downs would do very well.
Sven would never drop Owen for crouch though. |

The capacity for Råsunda is about 35.000
