| We're not allowed to take smoke breaks at my work. I don't smoke so I don't really care but all of the smokers go nuts. |

| At a previous job (call center) everyone on the floor got the same amount of breaks smokers and non smokers. However, both of the directors were smokers and they went out every 30 mins for a smoke..and not for a little drag..for 15 mins at a time.It was unreal! Then they would bitch at us if WE were 2 or 3 mins late for our breaks or lunch. :whip: :whip: |

| At my place of work, everyone gets 30 minutes total break time. You are not supposed to exceed that 30 minutes, however I have noticed that on occasion both smokers and nonsmokers exceed that time limit. I think it has to do more with an individual's sense of responsibility, rather than if he/she is a smoker. |

| well at my work we have to take a 30 min lunch and 2 15min breaks and on top of that we get a personnal time witch we can take anytime and not get in troble as long as we don't go over ten min ... so i use to split the persoanl time into 2 5min breaks and go out for smokes .... bust since i'm working on quiting smoking i use the personal time to play street fighter 3 on our Xbox kiosk |

I was managing a department one time, and some of the staff asked me for a smoke break. I said no, because they already had their regular break.
They actually tried to argue that they were entitled to more breaks because they were smokers. I laughed in their face. |
