Actually, there are more Lebanese in Brazil than in Lebanon, which is why most Lebanese cheer for Brazil: they usually have some cousin / uncle / aunt / grand-parent there. As for how they got there, magic carpets work well :o |

something i hate about soccer fans.
France, back in the 90s was not a very supported team internationally (yet we did have good players - JPP, Platini, Lama, Ginola n of course Eric 'The King' Cantona who barely played internationally). Even after WC98 and Euro2000, it was a hated team by a lot of angry fans who decided to call WC98 a big scam and Euro 2000 a lucky tournament.
It's funny how NOW, when France beats big teams that every one loves it.
And i am not directing this at anyone, just saying 'in general'.
Mind you, people might have been supporting france ever since they were still sperms, in which case, sorry, i didnt know.

Elie j'ai les autographes de toute l'équipe de france championne du monde en 1998 (pris en mai 1998 quand ils sont venus au maroc préparer la coupe du monde) + des photos avec aimé jacquet, karembeu, thierry henry, etc ...
meme chose pour l'équipe de france 2000 championne d'europe, tous les autographes + photos (j'ai meme une photo prise avec thierry henry 2 ans plus tot que j'ai rammené avec moi pour que henry la signe au dos).
i in' went nuts when trezeguet scored against italy to win that euro. same in 98 (zidane twice and petit to finish off).
i'm not a hater, mais j'aime le beau jeu, et la ou il est je le suis, mais faut pas se mentir ni se voiler la face : l'equipe de france a été tellement merdique ces 4/5 derniéres années ... leurs 2 derniers matchs en coupe du monde ont été les meilleurs depuis un certain france - ecosse en mars 2002 (5-0). les matchs de qualification ont été catastrophique, tu aurais regardé un ile feroé - france tu t'aurais arraché les vetements tellement les francais étaient pathétiques.
