that's not weird at all. i love sweet combined with spicy and/or salty. that sounds good! the hawaiian pizza is pineapple with ham, but since i dont like ham, i think pepperoni would be a nice replacement...and add some onion and pepperoccini..(sp?) |
Try pineapple and bacon, it's much better than hawaiian.
Also, Prosciutto is good, as well as Chicken and Pepperoni.
One of the places near me, Two Boots, has a pizza called "The Dude" that's really good. First, the sauce on all of their pizzas is a spicy cajun sauce and they've got a thin cornmeal crust. It's a Cajun bacon cheeseburger pie: tasso, andouille, ground beef, cheddar, & mozzarella |

i dont like bacon on pizza...
milk with pizza is kinda weird. i need either coke or some sort of fizzy drink like perrier with lime or something. pepsi is too sweet for me. i like the coke with lime though.
i only like milk (with ice cubes in it) when i have a hearty meal like fried chicken or meatloaf with mashed potatoes and of course with most desserts. |

and i'm not talking about some papa johns crap, although i DO like pappa johns...but i'm talking about real NY style pizza from like Mario the Baker (BEST PIZZA EVER), or wherever you're favorite little mom & pop pizza joint is. |

morel mushrooms are soooo good, but i wouldnt put them on pizza. they have great flavour, but are too good for pizza.
mmmm this thread is making me hungry and i have to run down the block to get pizza now....IMO it is one of the best pizza places in my area, so i cant complain. also those that live outside of NY, and if you eat pizza that they claim is 'new york pizza' does it really taste like NY pizza? just wondering, b/c i always sort of laugh when i am out of NY and a pizza place claims they make NY pizza. do they import NY water, as that is what makes the pizza good....
as for toppings, i enjoy the plain slice. sicilian if i am more in the mood for a bready type pizza. but if either a neopolitian or sicilain just came out of the oven then i always get the freshest slice. i then sprinkle some crushed red pepper on it and mmm heaven.
if i do eat toppings, mushrooms and olives (black, whoever said green is crazy :wtf: ). a slice of white if the mood strikes me and that always goes good with a spinach topping. |

Any pizza outside of New York claiming to be 'New York Pizza' i've ever tasted is nothing like anything I ever had whilst actually in New York. I must have sampled about 10+ pizzerias whilst I was there. All very nice. I love how you can order by the slice instead of having to buy a whole pizza. That is unheard of where I live. |
