what italian restaurant?
The best filets are from steakhouses that carry dry aged beef like Peter Luger in NYC. In miami maybe Prime 112, Capital Grill, or even Smith and Wollensky... |

smith & wollensky is overrated.
prime 112 is the best down here i would imagine. i had drinks and appetizers there recently and the people sitting next to me at the bar ordered a strip and it was the biggest, leanest, juiciest looking strip steak i've ever seen. it must have been about 3 inches thick. looked ridiculous! i noticed a $150 kobe beef filet on the menu there too.
anyway i wasn't talking about like some fancy italian restaurant. i went to this one place in ft. lauderdale...tuscan grill or something...kinda pricey but they topped the filet with some sort of madeira sauce....was delish! i think a lot of cheaper italian chain restaurants offer the filet with some sort of mushroom wine sauce on top too. |

| Extra cheese is a requirement, no matter what topping(s) it has. Other than that, I quite like sausage and pepperoni. |
