Very happy with the result, first half was excellent, totti looked on fire and the great luca toni was always a threat.
missed the second half unfortunately, but I'm left very happy with the result. |

Kuffour risked ending Iaquinta's career with a kamikaze tackle from behind earlier on.
If I saw him crying afterwards I'd laugh in his face as well. wit. |

that's not an excuse. should have been a red card, easily.

| Ghana really hasnt a chance against Italys top defenders Cannavaro & Nesta. Only some shots by Essien caused some danger. In whole Italy was the much more clever and better team. One tip for Ghana: Get ya Kouffour out. Hes really and deserved the red card today. |

It really was an enjoyable match, Ghana believed in their chances and really went for it and also Italy played a good first game. So nice play from both teams, a lot of movement up and down the field, with Italy as the rightfull winner.
Italy surprised me, I knew they had the potential to play offensive, but never thought they'd really play like this. Really thought they'd play their catanacio. Makes me curious how they are going to play against the Czech Republic and USA which (probably ;)) are better teams than Ghana. If they can show something in those matches maybe I'll have to change my opinion and give Italy a better chance in the tournament.
But for now I still don't see them as big contenders for the cup :p |
