I've ran into crazy portuguese girls (island and non-island) - however, they were crazy in very different ways (lol). Mind you, I don't blame them entirely - they're victims of a strange upbringing - with the most messed up coming from parents who are in a rush to get them to work and/or married and don't see the value of a post-secondary education. Sad, really.
In 1998 the Portuguese-Canadian National Congress put together an overview of Portuguese in Canada - it's long, but if you're a porkchop it's an interesting read. |
