BUT
youd never see a brazilian supporting portugal or an argentine supporting spain. Or even a spaniard supporting a latin country. If that were to ever happen it would be for (gasp) sport reasons and not cultural. |

| I really don't understand what all the fuss is about, let people believe in something. I love soccer, all three of my kids play it. My oldest plays rep, I coach a U-16 girls team and I was so excited for World cup to start. I love the Brazil team and yes I have a flag and a jersey and I like to play tease my friends and co workers when the wear their favorite team jerseys as well but hey it's all in fun. I love driving around and seeing all the teams represented everywhere. It gives people something to look forward to something to brag about and a reason to party win or lose!!! |

when only a few countries in the world speak a certain language (in this case portuguese), it's only logical that the inhibitants of these countries would feel a certain bond to those few other coutries who speak the same language. |
yeah lets recap ur history with brazil. u invaded, enslaved there people, rape there women . they stood up,rioted and kicked u the out of their country and took it back as there own.
from what i understand the brazilians hate ur in guts lol.

ok so ive been playing soccer for over 14 of my 20 years living, with over 5 of those years at the provincial level, all of my grandparents were born in canada but further back im russian/polish.
now.... i dont follow soccer at all (even tho i consider myself really good :P)
so tell me when i turn on the tv to watch the world up, am i a bangwagoner?????
get a life guys, u dont have to follow sports every day of every year to be able to enjoy and cheer for teams. |
