sorry mike i respect your opinion but Ferry overall has been for me the best producer of trance (as i have known it). Ive not really been one to go back and pick up on the older trance tracks from before 96-97 but since then Ferry has done some sterling work. L-Vee, MIKE and Chicane get some close nominations too tho

Haha ... some people don't understand that what one like sucks for others ... music is personal ... for me 2 or 3 tunes of one producer are better than all full stuff of others top producers ... I mentioned what I considered better style of melodies and intrumentation ... ahhh by the way you mentioned Salt Tank that I forgot and agree.

I'd say Ultrasaurus - his feet must have had an enormous impact on the ground.

but he's been producing for so short a time. the test of a 'good' producer is doing it consistently for 10 years

Let me be the first to say THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone who did not place Tiesto on this list.

I thought for sure some ass- would through his name on this and taint it forever. Luckiley, no1 has, and I thank you for it! From the bottom of my heart

You spoke too soon.

How pointless is this? You can argue, make useless lists and bitch all you want but there will never be a conclusion.

This is hard but i'll post my number 3...

Paul van Dyk (He's what got me into trance, with For An Angel (E-Werk Club Mix), Words, Another Way, Tell Me Why, Beautiful Place, Seven Ways, Connected (his last really good tune IMO) and many others).

Steve Helstrip (I have enjoyed his productions over the years, especially his releases under Rapid Eye, Hydra's "Affinity (Thrillseekers Dub)", some of the remixes of Synaethesia and the En Motion Mix, and many of his remixes under Thrillseekers)

Chicane (not nowadays, but back in the late 90s/early 00s with Far From The Maddening Crowds and Behind The Sun, some of the most memorable and beautiful tunes ever, like Offshore, Leaving Town, Halcyon, Saltwater etc)
