I thought the referee did a pretty good job, actually. :stongue:
That was an incredibly entertaining game from a neutral perspective, and it was one of the craziest World Cup games that i have ever seen. :crazy:
Of course, the referee missed a few things (like the foul on Robben in the box), but that was very hard to call. I think that all of the cards that he gave were fair enough, and the players only have themselves to blame. The first red card (from two yellows) was definitely the right decision. That guy was lucky not to have been sent off five minutes earlier for a foul anyway.
Van Basten did not do a very good job today IMO. Where the hell was Van Nistelrooy?!! Instead of bringing on his best striker, he waited until 20 minutes before the end to bring on another midfielder. Stupid decision.

this was an ugly game for sure, but it was the most entertaining match this WC for sure for me... to see so many mad players on the field is just something special and only to laugh at.... actually it was a really good and fast match beside the fights aswell!
sucks for holland ofcourse.. but if we ignore the fightings and look at how well the taems played, then imo.. both portugal and holland deserved to go to the quarter finals... england will get hardly beaten by the portugals, and the dutchies would have kicked their asses aswell imo |

Holland weren't much better. Either way, it won't matter, since those other Latin green monkeys will win it all. |
