| Yep. My mom forgot to move her car to the driveway once. Got a ticket that very same night. I ahve no idea how they got her - I've never ever seen a cop patrolling my street. |

What the hell? I thought it was stupid that you can't park on the street in Cambridge over night IN THE SUMMER due to SNOW plows...but this? This is just ridiculus. It's your own ing property!! |
No !! It's your OWN property that you have most likely paid for or are in the process of paying for and you can't do what you want with it??? What the fack ever!

Cops don't do it, parking enforcement people do. |

There's where I stand! I bought that property. Sorry that my neighbours dont like my property w/o grass, but you know what, sorry, IT'S *MY* land do with as I see fit! That's why I bought it in the first place!
Disgusting all these new laws and regulations that seem to pop up! Fack. |

Yeah not well explained I agree.
OK Scenario:
Family X has 1 car but no driveway on their property. They are forced to park on the street where they would have to pay for a monthly parking permit. One day they decide that they are going to convert their small front lawn into a "driveway" so they no longer have to worry about street parking/tickets/permits. So they get all the interlocking brick done and even buy some tar so they can create an incline at the curb for their car toi roll up on. Then one day I drive up and park infornt of this make shift driveway and they freak out cause I'm blocking them in. I say " YOU" cause one can't just decide to make a driveway entrance at a whim without zoning approval. |

I think its selfish for a home owner to take away a spot from the street. |
^^ Thats all a very good point. IF your expanded driveway is preventing other cars from parking legitametly on the side of the road, then that's not fair.
Its your property, park on it, but don't expect the right to have all other vehicles who want to park on the street have to now ensure they they aren't blocking you in from ur "new" "expanded" parking lawn space. |

Everytime i pose the question "whats next" when i hear of another stupid and intrusive law, sadly im quickly answered.
And of course the usual suspects around here are supporting it. I wonder how they sleep at night knowing that something they did that day surely must have had some sort of negative impact on someone, somewhere!!
Coming soon, no smoking in your own house or outside. Mark my words...
Property rights? (or any rights) in canada? Think again!
BTW did you know you need a permit to cut down a tree on your own property??? How about this, if you dont want trees cut down on a property than the crown shouldnt have sold it to a private entity in the first place! |
