that wasn't quite true...they let some people in for $100 or $120 at the door (i forget exactly)....
and i know that royally pissed off PVD as his contract had a maximum door charge rider in it. i'm actually a bit surpised he's playing there again so soon due to that.
but regardless, buy your tix ahead of time. if you can't use your tix, i'm pretty sure you can sell it for no problem. |

honestly i would absolutely adore you if you showed me the blueprints or even a glimpse of what you base your statements on......when was the last time PvD played @ Avalon....??????? PIG |

essentially i thin it all breaks down to the tuning and what the dj feels his or her music will sound the best on.....its plain and simple PVD will not spin @ Avalon simply because he will not get the distortion that he needs and requires to bang-out....now i thin it would sound just fine, but when your PvD you dont giva .... |
That is why there are sound engineers!!! They can tighten up or loosen a club's low end, sharpen the highs, clear up hazy mids etc... It's not like they just installed the system at Avalon and never tune it for an event. They have rock bands and hip hop groups play at Avalon, you don't think they change up the EQ for them? If you listen closely you can actually hear the sytem being tuned as the headliner plays his first few tracks.
The better clubs in the UK and Ibiza actually have the DJ come in and EQ the sound just for him/her, save the settings, then give him/her a personalized code that they enter everytime the play so that they get the most out of the club's system. |

Not true. PVD Has played at the Mayan and at Avalon. He used to almost exclusively play at The Mayan on Thursday nights. The last time he played at the Mayan was on September 21, 2005. It was the Thursday before the Love Parade last year. And the last time I remember PVD playing at Avalon was during a special MTV Party. I don't remember when, but it was a while back.
I really doubt PVD doesn't play at Mayan or Avalon due to the sound. If anything, it's because of promoter relationships. Just like in San Francisco he playes for 1015 almost exclusively, in LA he plays for Insomniac and the Mayan. |

I don't get you Ruben. Hahaha He didn't play at Avalon on May 2003. It was on September 2003. I'm pretty sure he has played since then. Cause I remember going to a free party at Avalon with PVD playing. And last time he played at Mayan was less than a year ago. Vanguard already had their sound system when he played at Mayan. :toothless
