had to use holy and the ff8 equivalent of the quick spell from ff6. again in ff9, i only made it as far as crashing into the woods with the airship |

It's been so long since I played FF9 I don't even remember that. I do remember how frustrated I was trying to find an underground temple which was hidden behind sandpits. If you picked the wrong pit, you would have to face antlions...and those things would kick my ass. :mad: :whip: |

Final Fantasy 8
...this game, to me, signaled the beginning of the end for the FF series. Not one game has been released in the series since then that I've thought was worthwhile.
To go from one of the greatest games in the series (FF7) to absolute in one title is a pretty impressive feat in my opinion... |
i thought ff8 was good and ff9 was much weaker |

| The worst thing about FF8 were the characters. I mean for s sake Squall was the whiniest FF "hero" ever. I would secretly smile every time he was killed in combat (which happend about twice i think as the game was way to easy). |

| FF8 was a hell of alot harder than ff9 if you completed everything. the ff9 final bosses were quite frankly laughable if u had destroyed ozma, I actually made it harder for myself by eating my dinner halfway through the battle so it could get a few hits on me. ff8 final boss still took a while and the ultima weapons were quite hard defeat, i also quite like the rivalry between squall and thta other dude. |

I will have to second that. I bought it second hand for £5, but I wish I'd rather spent it on a couple of pints. Got halfway through level one and then put it away. Horrible! |
