Review: ATB @ Guvernment (pg. 5)

| doesnt matter how bad or good ATB was... marcinm should relax a bit! Go listen to some birds singing! well, maybe their transitions suck a little bit.. but that should help you get back into peaceful mind. |

I just posted what i thought about the night. If y'all had fun then that's great, I didn't say everyone thought he sucked, just myself and the people i came with.
I find it insulting that I get all sorts of ignorant "you're a gino" comments, since even if I was, what would that matter on how i judge music?
I've had fun nights seeing Armin, Tiesto, Rank1, Ferry, Nick Warren, Digweed, and many many other dj's. ATB was just terrible in my opinion.
And I love melodic trance, just so you know. It just seemed to me like 80% of his set was pulled off the b-list.
The only tracks that stuck out were:
"linking people together"
"hold you" (at this point i thought the set was going to pick up, but it didn't)
"can't sleep" (atb mix)
however, i was completely sober, and went to listen to atb as i love his production, and was sorely disappointed.
i however am happy that you went out there, got ed on E (or what you thought was E) and had a great time. :) |

I was going to post of review but I am getting sick of everyone bitching at each other.
This review is for people to say how they feel not for saying what other people want to here .
So lets try to stay on the subject of review and let people speak there minds.

Dude I don't know what your problem with E is. The fact is that E is always there when it comes to these events. I don't know if you DJ or not but you seem like a dude that fallows this type of music so you should know better. Trance + E = State of Trance. I bet that 80 % of people there were ed on E and the 15 % plain out drunk...5% maybe the sober troopers. If you take E it doesn't mean that w/e the Dj throws at you you will enjoy (I do want to say this if you do it, do it reasonably don't pop 3 pills and spaz on the floor I hate that crap, just like if you drink, drink within your limits). You think that Dj's don't know that E pretty writes their cheques, but that doesn't mean they just in throw out any random b/s. Hey I'll admit I do it sometimes, but I don't do it so crappy music is more enjoyabl...I do cuz it gets me going and so I can friggen dance for 6-7 hours, gives no hangovers and is 10 times cheaper then drinkin, yes it makes the music more enjoyable but only if its good music. |

Dude...were we at the same party??? or were under a very large dose of "something" because ATB and the word GOOD can NOT go together in the same sentence...nor can ATB with the name Armin...ATB's set was melow with no flow...he just spun popular tracks without an end or beginning, all vocals...Mark Oliver owned him, no doubt about it! ATB sucked my friend...and he was never good, just popular since his music is aired by every station because even NON trance lovers can relate to it since its EURO not even trance...WEAK SET! WEAK DJ! WEAK RUDE STONNED ASIAN CROWD 4 the main room @ the Guv!

that is the most melodic set anyone is going to get this whole year with the exception of possibly MO's 'the gift!!!' i definately got my melodic trance fix last night, ATB was amazing, great tunes from start to finish including a lot of his own material. I'm amazed how many ppl left so early. I left around 3:45 since my gf had to work at 10, but so wish i coulda stayed much later, MO was delivering when ATB came off. thats all i can think of right now...MO also dropped 'open your eyes' and 'cafe del mar' immediatly following his set, it was to bad i had to leave right after cafe del mar.
I loved how ATB and the crowd were so into it. The crowd was going crazier then for Armin on Wednesday. I definatley look forward to ATB's return! :D |

WTF stupid, I was completely sober and so were all the people we went with, the trance was with pure sick tracks, so I donno, if you're into house or whatnot thats your disease, no need to share anything more with your e assumptions

I respect your opinion but why are you bashing people that do e or e itself. More pointless than dead baby jokes, if you dont do it dont and dont assume that if they weren't on e they wouldnt have enjoyed it.
