The Correct Aswers:
Trance:
01. Enigma - Push The Limits (ATB Mix) [2000]
I liked ATB back in the days and this one has a nice sound of Enigma.
Discogs
02. DJ Sammy feat. Loona - Boys Of Summer (Green Court Remix) [2002]
Don Henley's great track was raped by the german cheesehead Samuel Bouriah but Green Court made it a bit more enjoyable.
Not a personal favorite if you wonder. :)
Discogs
03. The Thrillseekers feat. Gina Dootson - By Your Side (Martin Roth Remix) [2006]
One of the freshest tunes in this contest.
The magnificent Thrillseekers are still going strong and one of my personal favorite hard trance producers Martin Roth has transformed the track in his usual fashion.
Discogs
04. Mario Più a.k.a. DJ Arabesque - Serendipity (Arabesque Mix) [1999]
This sample was quite hard, as it only featured a countdown (and liftoff).
It's Mauro "Lizardman" Picotto's italian pal Mario "Mas" Più under his alias DJ Arabesque, with a little help from Mauro.
Discogs
05. Deepest Blue - Is It A Sin (Antillas Remix) [2004]
When I heard Deepest Blue's "Deepest Blue" track I thought it was another Eiffel 65 (recall "Blue (Da Ba Dee)"?), but they're actually listenable.
I was going to use the Cicada remix, but this one has more interesting cut up vocals.
Discogs
06. Juno Reactor & Don Davis - Navras [2004]
Some might be baffeled when they hear this, as it doesn't sound like trance.
It's from Juno Reactors album "Labyrinth" and also featured in the movie "Matrix Revolutions" during the credits.
Just beautiful!
Discogs
07. Urban Sounds - Without Her [2004]
Another difficult, but this time because it has never been officially released by any record company.
It's Anssi "a98" Hohti back in the Sublogic Corporation times.
He produces under his Allende alias nowadays.
Website
Download the track from SubCo!
08. Benny Benassi pres. The Biz - Love Is Gonna Save Us (Vadim Zhukov Remix) [2004]
Anybody really like Benny Benassi? Didn't think so! But Vadim Zhukov is one hell of a producer and kicks the hell out of this track.
The track actually uses the riff from Anne Clark's "Our Darkness". :)
Discogs (Our Darkness)
09. Oliver Lieb pres. Radical Impression - Traveller 3 [2004]
This was a tough one, only one full ID, Unique2701!
Granted, not trance, but the guy has remixed Tiësto. :D
Discogs
10. Skyscraper - The Hymn [1999]
Solar Stone produced two excellent tracks in 1999 under their Skyscraper guise; Jabberwock and The Hymn.
The first one has an excellent "Chillout Mix", and this recently got some new remixes.
Discogs
Discogs (2006 remixes)
Discogs (Jabberwock)
11. Gouryella - Ligaya (Yoji Biomehanika Remix) [2003]
Not being a Ferry fan, but a huge Gouryella fan, I really liked Ligaya although Tiësto was not involved.
I chose this remix for shock value for those who were unfamiliar with it.
Discogs
12. Deepsky feat. Jes Brieden vs. Yilmaz Altanhan - Ghost vs. Eighties (GroundLine Mashup) [2005]
Okay, this was a dupe.
I liked Armin's mashup of these tracks, but I felt that the Özgür Can remix of "Eighties" covered Jes' vocals too much so I made my own bootleg with the original mix of "Eighties".
Download exclusive edit!
13. Michael Woods - Solex (Close To The Edge) (Dogzilla vs. Michael Woods Remix) [2003]
This was a bit difficult with all the mixes sounding alike, this is the best one IMHO.
Some believed the vocals were by his wife Imogen Bailey, but that is another track called "If U Want Me" which has been remixed by Antillas.
Discogs
14. Re:Locate - Waterfall [2003]
Paul Moelands released his album "Rogue" on the 17th of July 2006 featuring his three year old track "Waterfall", one of his first publiced tracks.
Discogs
15. Young Parisians feat. Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train (Fast Train Version) [2004]
Solar Stone, again! Well, this is quite different from The Hymn.
After the great "U Write The Rules" from Tiësto's "Nyana" compilation they teamed up with Ben Lost from "Lost Language".
The original mixes are all right.
Discogs
16. Randy Katana - Play It Louder [2005]
You all hate me for this, I know.
It's not "Ego Acid" nor "Confusion" by The Pump Panel, "Phatt Bass" by The Warp Brothers, nor "Operation Blade (Bass In The Place)" by Public Domain, but Randy Katana's bastard track "Play It Louder" using the same riff and making it fit.
Discogs
17. Hemstock & Jennings - Mirage (Of Hope) (Lange Remix) [2002]
This is just a classic that I had to include.
Discogs
18. Three Drives - Air Traffic (Extended Vocal Version) [2003]
Did the lyrics fool you? I hope so!
They only appear on the remix vinyl of "Air Traffic", and some radio mixes.
It wasn't "Greece 2000" so you didn't know it, typical mainstream elitists. :D
Discogs
19. Chicane - Daylight [2003]
I had to include something of this master! This one is from his album "Easy To Assemble".
Discogs
20. T-Factory (a.k.a. Tomato's Factory) - Message In A Bottle (Hiver & Hammer Remix) [2004]
Hiver & Hammer being one of my fav's I wanted to screw with your feeble minds that belive that Sander Van Doorn is behind this one! :D
From H&H's album 2Faces!
Discogs
Discogs (2Faces)
21. Ian Van Dahl - Try (Alphazone Remix) [2002]
Okay Ian Van Dahl is quite the cheesefactory, but I like the energy that Alphazone brings to this track!
Also try the Michael Woods remix!
Discogs
22. Ferry Corsten - Sweet Sorrow (Ferry Fix (a.k.a. Ferry's Flashover Mix)) [2004]
Most people reconized Ferry's sound, and also that it was from the "Right Of Way" album. But as this is a newer mix many were fooled...
One of Ferry's best productions, since Ligaya and Punk! :D
Discogs
23. Avril Lavigne - I'm With You (Leama & Moor Remix) [2003]
Canadian anyone? There's also a dub for all you Avril haters, but it sucks balls! :)
There's no official release for this chillout track. And sorry, it's progressive house, not trance...
Discogs
24. Ayumi Hamasaki - Still Alone (Warp Brothers Extended Mix) [2002]
This was easy to spot as Ayu - if you ever heard her - but the track is impossible to find out from the lyrics. :D
The Warp Brothers sound is not completely obvious, but guessable.
Discogs
25. Blank & Jones with Bobo - Perfect Silence (Dub Session) [2005]
The vocals should be familiar to those who've heard one of the more normal versions, e.g. E-Craig's remix.
This one is available on B&J's "Relax Edition Two" album.
Discogs
26. Cygnus X - Superstring (Rank 1 Deep Dub (or Rank 1 Remix)) [2000]
A classic if there ever was one! There's actually a slight difference between the sample I made and the breakdown in the "remix", but that's sematics. ;)
Discogs
27. Way Out West - Don't Forget Me [2004]
I don't know why, but the "Don't Look Now" album got bad reviews and I loved it!
The "Dustbiter Mix" may work better on the dancefloor, but this is the version I prefer!
Omi's vocals are just beautiful. The bonus mix album is also mint!
Discogs
28. Tilt - The World Doesn't Know (Özgür Can Main Mix) [2005]
Andy Moor and friends mixed up by that crazy Swede with to many umlauts in his name. Check out their "Explorer" album!
Discogs
Discogs (Explorer)
29. Holden & Thomson - Come to Me (Last Version) [2005]
After the amazing "93 Returning Mix" of "Nothing", James Holden once again totally s up Julie Thompson's vocals to almost unrecognizable.
Julie's collab with Attic (Alan Bremner) called "Last Goodbye" was quite good, especially Lexicon Avenue's remix!
Discogs
Discogs (Nothing)
Discogs (Last Goodbye)
30. Jan Vayne - Air A Pull (C-Quence Mix) [2004] Unidentified!
I was hoping for Haak here, as his collab track "Dear Lily" is played before this one on Jan Vayne's and Armin's "Classical Trancelations" compilation!
This is by the great Joris van der Straten and has a bit of a Rank 1 sound to it, me likey!
Also check out his collab with Fictivision called "Symbols"!
Discogs
Discogs (Symbols)
31. Kemopetrol - Goodbye (Perwert Mix) [2002]
Pulling a bit home here with a Finnish band and remix. ;) But Google makes it fair again, or you're all fans of Finnish rock. :D
Discogs
32. Nu NRG - Eclisse [2004]
This is the introductive track (and my favorite) to their album "Free Fall".
Discogs
33. Rank 1 - Sensation: The Anthem 2003 [2003]
Rank 1 again, I know, but they're good! The track is based on "Lacrimosa" from Mozart's Requiem mass.
Discogs
Wikipedia about Lacrimosa
34. Marco V - Automanual [2005]
I was the only one to recognize "The Funk Battery" in the previous contest and this is one of the most known now?
It's on the "200V" album (MMV in proper roman!).
Discogs
35. Sinéad O'Connor - Troy (The Phoenix From The Flame) (John Creamer & Stephane K Remix) [2002]
Noting compares to this voice? :D This is the only Sinéad track in this contest, as #80 was a dupe.
Creamer & K usually pull through with their remixes. Check out their collab with Randall Jones called "Kiss Me" with John on the vocals!
Discogs
Discogs (Kiss Me)
36. 4 Strings - Into The Night (4 Strings Remix) [2001]
Their first big "hit", but with the vocal version called "Take Me Away".
This is the more dubby 4 Strings version, probably remixed by Jan De Vos alone.
Discogs
37. Dave Matthews Band - When the World Ends (Oakenfold Remix) [2003]
The second "The Matrix" connected track from Reloaded's soundtrack. Has never been officially released. Love the deep soundscape!
Discogs
38. Skip Raiders feat. Jada - Another Day (Brainbug Remix) [1999]
One of the oldest tracks in my contest's trance category.
Beat William Orbit to the punch by a hairline, but never got as big as his "Barber's Adagio For Strings".
Perfecto did a cheesy remix of this one too, but this one rocks it's socks.
Discogs
39. Armin van Buuren feat. Ray Wilson - Yet Another Day (Armin's Downbeat Interpretation) [2002]
Armin took this remix as the base for the track "Never Wanted This" featuring Justine Suissa's vocals, which is on the album 76.
Justine's voice is better, but the track(s) are AvB at his greatest.
It's actually Winamp's random function that came up with the bright idea to put "Yet Another Day" back to back with "Another Day"! ;) It wasn't me, I swear. :D
Discogs
Discogs (76)
40. Paul Van Dyk feat. Hemstock & Jennings - Nothing But You (Cirrus Mix) [2003]
Best Jan Johnston vocals ever! Unrecognizable to the last drop. :)
Also featured on the "Need For Speed Underground 2" soundtrack, along with Fluke and lots of rap and .
Discogs
Electro:
41. Michael Bublé - "Spider-Man" Theme (Junkie XL Remix) [2004]
Probably inspired by the movie...
Discogs
42. Narcotic Thrust - When The Dawn Breaks (Original Extended Vocal) [2004]
The best track from the British power-duo!
Almost used the Cicada remix here, the Dogzilla remix is not up to standards...
Discogs
43. Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows (UNKLE Reconstruction) [2004]
Nice breaks tune!
Discogs
44. Pendulum & Fresh feat. Spyda & Tenor Fly - Tarantula [2005]
The lyrics are just hilarious on this one!
Discogs
45. Mylo - Drop The Pressure [2004]
This was one of the most ID'd tracks, although the vocals were a bit cut up.
Discogs
46. Dave Gahan - I Need You (Ladytron DetoxxMixx) [2003]
The Gabriel & Dresden remix is probably the best know with it's deep bass, but this one is excellent too.
Discogs
47. Hybrid feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Blackout [2003]
Kirsty Hawkshaw has one of my favorite voices ever; so clear, so sensual.
This one is the ending track on the album "Morning Sci-Fi".
Check out her more recent work on Mr Sam's album "Lyteo", with Insight as the best track there!
Discogs
Discogs (Lyteo)
48. The Prodigy feat. Juliette Lewis - Hotride [2004]
The multitalented Juliette Lewis sings an interpretation of the 1967 classic song "Up Up And Away" by Jim Webb.
From the album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned".
Discogs
49. M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade - Body Language [2005]
You should have heard the Essential Mix with Booka Shade (02-06-2006), they played an hour in band mode, and then had a hours DJ mix! Wicked!
Discogs
50. Asian Dub Foundation - Enemy Of The Enemy [2003] Subey's Unique ID!
I'm surprised that this was not known! They even sing the title! :D
From the album "Enemy Of The Enemy"!!!
Discogs
51. Covenant - We Stand Alone [2002]
Swedish Depeche Mode wannabes. The Kaylab remix of "Call The Ships To Port" from the same album "Northern Light" was in a previous ID contest.
Discogs
52. Tomcraft - Quelle Heure Est-Il (Club Mix) [2005] Unidentified!
Really, no (DJ) Tomcraft fans here? Okay, this is newer stuff from the new album "HyperSexyConscious"!
Discogs
Discogs (HyperSexyConscious)
53. The Crystal Method - Name Of The Game (Hybrid's L.A. Blackout Remix) [2001]
This sample is just wonderful! I'm sure I heard it (just the main instrument) in the TV series "Over There" about the Iraq war.
And two Hybrid/Blackout tracks in the contest! :)
Discogs
54. David Guetta feat. JD Davis - The World Is Mine [2004]
This guy with his pal Joachim Garraud make quite strange and funny tech house tracks, like "In Love With Myself" and this one!
Not to mention the "F*** Me I'm Famous" stuff!
This one is from the album "Guetta Blaster".
Discogs
Discogs (In Love With Myself)
55. Portishead - Roads [1994]
Maybe you've heard the Sultan & Tone Depth bootleg remix, or the vocal-less "ToneDepth & SoulTan - Moments" on Tiësto's ISOS4.
Discogs
Discogs (ISOS4)
56. Yello - Oh Yeah (Dance Mix) [1985]
It's the origial Dance Mix from 1985! Was that so hard?
Discogs
57. Jam & Spoon feat. Dolores O'Riordan - Mirror Lover [2004]
Many answered Cranberries to begin with, but it's the oldschoolers Jam & Spoon who are to blame.
Okay, Dolores O'Riordan who sing on this track is from the Cranberries. :p
This is from the album "Tripomatic Fairytales 3003", not to be confused with the "Tripomatic Fairytales 2001".
Discogs
Discogs (Tripomatic Fairytales 2001)
58. t.A.T.u - Not Gonna Get Us (Richard Morel's Pink Noise Vocal Mix) [2003]
Okay, montana had a Morel track, so I also put one in!
Discogs
59. DJ Shadow - You Can't Go Home Again [2002] Generation X's Unique ID!
Come on! It's DJ Shadow, and one of the most well known tracks! Gsus!
Discogs
60. Kosheen - All In My Head (Planet Funk Mix) [2003]
This is not exactly the D'n'B style that they had before.
The original track is on the album with the funky name "Kokopelli", which is Native American but sounds Finnish. :D
Discogs

61. The Chemical Brothers - Galaxy Bounce [2001]
Not the most common Chemical Brothers track, and probably one of the best picks I made for this contest. ;)
From the album "Come With Us", was also featured on the Tomb Raider soundtrack! :D
Discogs
Discogs (Tomb Raider)
62. Depeche Mode - World In My Eyes (Cicada Remix) [2004]
Finally I got to use Cicada's remix! Feel the enery in this one!
From the "Enjoy The Silence····04" compilation.
Discogs
63. Amon Tobin - The Lighthouse [2005]
I played the "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory" and got hooked on the soundtrack by Amon Tobin.
This is the most "common" of the tracks, but...
Discogs
64. The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It (Ruff & Jam Eastside Mix) [2005]
I favored this one over Jacques Lu Cont's remix of "Mr. Brightside".
Discogs
65. Fluke - Snapshot [2003]
The outstanding album "Puppy" had a lot of nice tracks, I particularly liked this one!
Discogs
66. Juliet - Avalon (Jacques Lu Cont Versus Remix) [2005]
Stuart Price's remix is a bit better than the "F*** Me I'm Famous" remix by Guetta & Garraud.
Discogs

72. Thomas Newman - Brooks Was Here (Shawshank Redemption) [1994]
Excellent composer who did the score for the excellent "Shawshank Redemption" with Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.
He also did "American Beauty's" score, and Jakatta used "Any Other Name" to make the "American Dream" track.
Jakatta also used this one for the "My Vision" track with Seal. Both on the album "Visions".

Don't ask! I like Danny Elfman's movie compositions, maybe because they're often in Tim Burton movies?

Guess why I put this in? Could it be because Eric "Pryda" Prydz sampled it for his "Call On Me"?
