How does #75 get full ids (i've never heard of it)
and not #56 one of the most recognizable tunes ever? |
|
|

| Because the lyrics are easily Googlable I'd say |

I'd say a moratorium on any future samples that contain lyrics which can be easily gooooogled then. |

Because most of the forum do step out into the real world every so often, where there are things such as TV and radio. |

Suspiciously that was the exact argument that I was using to make my case for why #56 should be the dominant IDed track versus #75 you are arguing my case |

56 is from the 1980s though, where as 75 is very recent. The only place you'll hear 56 is retro stations and certain movie soundtracks. I think it's logical to assume that a popular contempory track is more likely to get full IDs than an old 80s track.
EDIT: Also, I've heard 56 plenty of times but I've no idea who it's by and what it's called. 75 is rather more easy, having recognisble lyrics...
Anyway, any more will be giving the fecking names away. |

| How about from now on, no samples should contain lyrics.. would be tougher but also better because people then couldn't google their points :P |

| that's actually a genius idea aabech, but i can promise you, the entry level on a contest like that would be low, very very low. and it would still be low even if you used sandstorm, castles in the sky,the launch, for an angel, greece 2000 etc, because ultimatly most people can't remember all those trancetracks that they bummed a year ago. and you would only have like 10 people enter with all of them just entering the most obvious id's and leave like 20/30 unique id's |

72 hours update!
Another four competitors joins the party, filling the whole spectrum.
Current Standings:
Konijn 142
Mr.Mystery 119
DRM 97
Tribu 96
paulandrews 88
Aabech 85

stevieboy32808 42
Gauss 41
SYSTEM-J 39
Psy-T 37

Mr.Mystery had the pole for almost three days, but this was bound to happen. Konijn secures the lead with a 23 point margin.
Our second newcomer stevieboy32808 settles in the middle of the pack, and Subey is looking up Chris' rear end.
At the last moment we also got an entry from paulandrews, taking fifth place!
Unique ID's:
Mr.Mystery 3 (-1)
Tribu 1 (-1)
paulandrews 1
Psy-T 0 (-1)
Gauss 0 (-1)
Konijn makes his entry noticed in the unique ID's chart, by taking points from Mr.Mystery, Tribu, Psy-T, and Gauss, but failing to get on the chart himself.
paulandrews get one on the board!
Most Fully ID'd tracks:
#75 with 10 full ID's
#45 with 9 full ID's
#26, #77 with 8 full ID's
#23, #34 with 7 full ID's
Still up for grabs:
Trance: #4, #5, #7, #9, #30
Electro: #50(!), #52, #59(!), #63, #67
Other: #76
When a week of the competition has passed I will start giving out public hint on the ones that are still left on this list.
Get them while they're hot (and unhinted). This should put some pressure on the lurkers!
Is Mr.Mystery going to have it this way? There could be more vultures around the corner so there's no time for slacking. |
