Thank you! Now I remember what real trance sounded like before the advent of the supersaw. It was really deep and dirty and spacey great stuff.

Yea, you can hear its so impulsive and deep, some really nice melo´s in there to.

It didn't go into all the previous influences of the genre though. I used to listen to groups (I even have their CDs somewhere still) like The Shamen and Nitzer Ebb. Didn't they influence the genre a little?

I'm asking because I really do not know, but did Trance start in Germany? Wasn't it the old school dance (I'm thinking of songs like 'Rhythm is a Dancer') and the aforementioned that really got it going?

Does anyone here remember The Shamen or Nitzer Ebb?

i have a feeling that if enough people watch this video the next phase of trance will be "retro-trance," containing no supersaws whatsoever :D
