| cool, i never heard of jimmy van m but i'm glad to hear he can bring it. the more i think about it the more cemented my plans are for driving down to la for new years :o |

I'm confused...this is going to be at Avalon right? Not at Giant Village (edit: By Giant Village I mean an outdoor party with a closing time of 3am or so)? Which means at Avalon we are entitled to a "proper" lengthy set...on into New Year's Day. :eek:
If so, I am there!! I still remember catching Diggers several New Years back at the Palace...I didn't leave the club until 11AM... :eyespop: |

Correct. Giant Village will no longer be Giant's NYE event, instead they're going to keep it as this outdoor Summer thing. From now on Giant's NYE will be indoors. Not necessarily Avalon, but it won't be "Giant Village". |

I just want/need ;) a proper set...JVM+S+D for at least 8-10 hours would definitely have me booking airfare ASAP. 4-6 hours...maybe...less than 4 or 5...probably not. |

Well before Giant Village was Giant Village, Giant had Digweed at Avalon (when it was The Palace) he played from 11pm on New Year's Eve until about 11am or noon New Year's Day. Sooo...yeah, I hope Avalon keeps that tradition alive :D |

I was there! I think he wrapped up somewhere between 11:15AM &
11:45AM...my memory was quite fuzzy at that point...:eyes:
I recall there being a Giant Village that year...or maybe it wasn't called Giant Village yet...I don't remember. Danny Howells brought in the new year in downtown LA, I think maybe Flower St. I believe the main stage lineup went something like Luke Fair, Howells, Tall Paul, and then PVD. I also remember Farina @ one of the other stages. |
