I've read all the books in the middle of your list (except for A Scanner Darkly - Saw the movie), however I did so in English, only. Probably a lot of substance lost in the translation... But I loved the books.

Didn't you read Catch 22 for AP Lit back in HS? :p

yeah, I really like that one, Im probably gonna read it again before I read Dry. The Finches are an awesome family lol.

This one was good when it came out in 2003, but a few more years after 9/11, it's kind of scary how much of the fallout he saw coming. As sad as it is to say, no wonder he shot himself. :(

i liked Running With Scissors better, but Dry is probably one of the best memoirs i've read about alcohol/drug abuse.
