Walked in, straight to the patio (was already sweating by the time I got to the patio) saw many familiar faces. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. The tunes Farina was laying down were sick. Would have loved to stuck it out, but like Ray mentioned it was way to hot and to crowded for me to enjoy the night.

Went on an adventure to get to the club, stayed at the club for 30 minutes, continued on the adventure back home. It was a great three hours.

+1

I was telling Tara the same thing. Kenny G as a resident would be killer.

- NO FILLING UP WATER BOTTLES - This was just completely unacceptable. To me, it doesn't get any more shady than this when it comes to running an afterhours club. It was so ing hot in there, and people were loosing sweat at a rate of 2 bottles of water per hour. Not only is this illegal, but it's also amoral. This is clearly a cash grab technique. With tickets at $40, and selling booze (which raised my eyebrow a bit in the first place), they shouldn't have gouged their customers again with this shadyness. I don't care if it's an "Industry thing" or not. This should not be allowed to happen.

oh you can fill them up, you just have to bribe them.

I seriously think this is what is going on here. Even I (as staff), have been told by these bathroom attendents that I can not fill my water (only happened at the upstairs bathrooms). I told him I worked at the club, and all the sudden I was allowed to go in with it. Downstairs however, the water has always had a cold tap (you just need to turn it on) - and never had any problems.

When the club has extreme heat issues like it did on Sunday, the last thing we want is the club to be is a health hazard. The club wouldn't want to risk patrons health just to make some more profit on bottles of water ESPECIALLY when liquor is being sold.

Not this time. The taps downstairs were only hot. Therefore, this was obviously planned ahead.

LMAO

The girls bathroom downstairs doesn't even have the "other faucet" option... Only hot water....

IMO if you are going to charge $5 for water then people should be able to refill their bottles. If you don't want your customers to have this option then lower the price that you are selling it for.

This isn't even an option though. By law, you must have drinking water available from taps.

And yes, I did try the other faucet.

I think the law is that water must be provided to patrons who request it, no?

so it would be in the club's interests to allow people to refill water at the taps rather than have the staff waste their time handing out free cups of water instead when they could focus on liquor/drink sales.

a quick search of the Liquor License Act of Ontario doesn't yield any mention of this apparent requirement though.

anyone?
