i love cheese. bottom line.

feta and mild cheddar are close to the top of my cheese list. but nothing beats fresh cheese curd still warm from the vat. squeaky cheese pour le gagne.

Do you use a grater, or a shaver on your beaver cheese? Do you wash it first?

Cheese ban?!?!?! That's a level 10 sin under the teachings of the great lord Cheesus!!

But yeah... double gloucester is amazing stuff... it's got the flavour of mild cheddar, but is so much more cheesy and potent... taking one little bite of a piece of double glousester is like filling your mouth with a huge ball of cheese.

YEAH! Smoked gouda is good too.

Peter needs to get in on this discussion. He is the cheese king.

We had some Jalapeno Havarti at a cheese meeting once... it was good , and won cheese of the week. There was one really drunk guy there who was screaming and yelling about how it was the best cheese he'd ever tasted.

yeah well, i'm testing my willpower. i also don't want to start looking like a giant wobbly block of cheese.

i am so picking up some double gloucester from kensington next time i go though. woooo! although i've gotta say, the smell when you walk in there is absolutely revolting. why does cheese taste so good, but smell so bad when it's all piled into one small room?

ooooh and i tried some "strong spanish cheese" (my friend didn't know the name, but said to ask for that!) last weekend. and some goat cheese from quebec. both were delicious.

Well I mean... cheese is just rotten milk. Some of it smells because of all the bizarre carboxylic acids it contains. For example, feta cheese contains a lot of butyric acid, which is one of the stinkiest chemicals EVER! On its own, it smells like vomit, but it adds a pleasant sourness to feta cheese.

YAY!! I'm not alone! Some of my friends think I have this unusual obsession with cheese....but NOW I KNOW I DON'T!

One time a couple of my friends and I were eating cheeseburgers...and I just went off on this tangent about all the things I like with cheese. For about 10 minutes they let me go on and on until finally they were done their burgers and told me to shut up! Haha

Hard cheese is my weakness.

Speaking of cheese, anyone know where to get a nice cheese basket in Toronto??? :conf:
