I totally agree with you on that...Glaude's mixing wasn't good...And if that is your reason for seeing that the guy then yeah...it wasn't worth your money...
But the dude got me (and I won't just dance to anything that doesn't make me move) and many people dancin' b/c of tracks and his energy...so for many...mission accomplished... :D |

yeah...you know what. sometimes i hate the fact that i started djing because now i notice every mistake. i used to just go out and have fun and not even care :( sometimes i miss those days. i dont think i met you there but i was jammin with cribby for some of the night. |

honestly the only reason i did this is because i never saw one person mention the fact that his mixes were off all night. this is only my personal opinion and thats all. im glad that a lot of people did have fun though.
i was actually right near the front on the left hand side. i left before 3 though |

you do realise even if i do go to LoL, i will hardly be in the trance room and mostly will be for the breaks or drum n bass area? |

Yeah...you weren't probably the only person who thought that Glaude's mixing was kind of crappy...
Wow...I was around the same vicinity as well..and I was even on the front stage (despite the warnings from the bodyguard) dancing my head off :D oh well...we shall meet soon :) |

plus DG has had mjor residencies across N America CD releases etc etc etc ... what club did you play last night or last weekend:) think about it bro. |

just the fact that i had to pay 20 dollars to hear mixing that bad pisses me off. espicially when im hyped to see the dj. there is no need for you to talk about me not djing in these clubs man. if you're gonna be a superstar than prove it. dont trainwreck and scream. im not the one being paid big bucks to mix like . like i said...its my opinion |

Although good mixing is key for a dj, imo its all about the track selection and build up of the set. The only time mixing becomes a factor is if there are MAJOR trainwrecks very frequently.
I wasn't there for Glaude @ TIL but I'm sure he wasn't THAT bad.
For example, last night B&J had a few messy mixes and one almost full on trainwreck, but I couldn't careless because they were kicking ass all night with an awesome track list.
I'd rather hear a dj not beatmatch at all with a sick track list, than hear one that can beatmatch perfectly and play totally tracks.
oh, and please keep Reviews of DG to the Review thread... thats what they're there for. |
