2x Pioneer cdj 200's
1x Numark DXM 06
Is this still a great starters set up? I recently purchased a Macbook pro. So, I was wondering if I should still jump at this set up? What's a good program to use for my laptop? |

Serato is not the killerapp anymore?
Will I still need the Pioneer and Numark setup? With my laptop and Traktor? |

| Traktor Pro is in my opinion much better than serato. If I were you I'd buy an A&H Xone:1D and traktor and a basic mixer = killer setup. |

Numark DXM06
A&H Xone 1D
Traktor Pro
Looks like this is going to be my setup. |

| Before you decide on what to buy, I recommend you decide whether you want to mix on a laptop or CDJs. |

that Numark is a POS. You will upgrade. You are throwing away 200$ US.
Try going used or saving your cash if you are actually looking into a mixer.
Or some sort of 2/4 chan external sound card? Traktor def needs that btw. The 1D by the specs is just a midi controller. The 2D on the other hand is both (internal soundcard and midi controller). Still leaves you needing a mixer. Denon X100?

So, I'm better getting a 2d since it's a 2in 1 and it will be a less expensive setup. I like that mixer. Looks like I'm going to need a mixer recommadition. |

All i'll say is take your time. You seem to jumping from one idea to the next.
Also the 2D costs a hell of a lot more than the 1D and any other mixer that has been suggested (EG DXM 06) |

and /w the price of the 2d ~700$ I don't think it even comes with any software (you would think Traktor 3 LE or something similar). Can someone confirm? So in addition to the controller you need to buy Traktor for 220 US. Plus a mixer. And headphones.
The Audio 8 DJ would be cheaper because it actually comes with software, LE. ~450 US. plus a mixer and phones.
Its bloody scary when a decent setup cannot be had for under ~1000$. |
