LOL so true. I just bought my 800mk2s for ~1000 @ guitar center and technically i dont even have a mixer yet. Im borrowing my friends DJM-400 and everythings been great. I just hope he doesnt ask me for them anytime soon.
Has anyone used the ecler nuo4 or nuo5? I was thinking about getting one of those mixers once i have to give back this djm-400. Ive read great things about it but user fedback > reviews. |

No offence, but this was mentioned like 20 times.
Also the CDJ200 isn't that good, I really hate the way the platter handels.
Finally, call me a purist, but if +/- 10% either way isn't enough to beatmatch your records with, then they really won't go together anyway. |

Stupid question :) Is it ok to start dj-ing with CDJ's 1000mk3?
I'm talking about all the features and the complexity of this kind of equipment that can confuse you.
Until now I used only software like Ableton but now I'm thinking about something serious. I think that quality is more important than the price so it won't be a problem for me.
Btw sorry for my bad english :p |

If you can afford it...why not? Despite all it's extras, it still works the same, in principle, as a cdj-200. |

I wanted to hear some of your thoughts on this for a first-time setup:
I found a good deal on a pair of used Technics SL1210mk2 & an A&H Xone:62 mixer. I want to go the digital route so I was also thinking of purchasing an A&H Xone:1D midi controller and Traktor Scratch Pro.. I don't plan on buying a MacBook Pro so I'd probably stick with my semi-new Dell laptop. |

If you've got the money for it then you're on to a good set up there.
Techs are solid, even second hand.
The 62 is also a great mixer if you don't mind the cueing limitations, some people don't others do.
Traktor Scratch Pro is great if a little daunting at first (trying to know what every feature does/beat gridding/ etc etc..
Macbook pro isn't necessary. So you should be fine.

| cool, thanks for the advice. The guy who is selling it isn't too far from my work, so I'll probably check it out this week. |

Do you mind me asking you how much he's looking for? Just to make sure you're not getting ripped off as i know Irish prices can be massively inflated sometimes. |

| Has anyone checked out the CDJ 350's, or anything like it? Are Pioneer CDJ's still the only way to go. |
