thats not ironic.

Somehow I don't think taunted was the word you are looking for, either that or you need to look up ironic.

I dont know what animal killing him would have been ironic. I, and im sure many others, would have thought a croc would have been the killer of choice.

The only irony of the situation is that supposedly he was filming a documentary to take away the fears of sting rays.

Sorry, bra. But I dont smoke pot. I dont fully understand your psuedohypothetical ramblings.

Here's a hypothesis for you: You're boring.

My prescription: Get a sense of humor and/or an imagination.

Unfortunately for you, you're going to need the drugs, G-String.

You should really explore more of what TA has than just the COR or MD. What purpose do you serve here? drugs and g-strings dont work on guys. And what humor should be had in death. Can you not respect the death of someone?

ok, for it to be ironic, it wouldn't be an animal that he taunted that killed him. I'd say if an animal he 'taunted' killed him it would be kind of fitting. If he meant this, he's just a .

It would have been ironic if (and this is what I believe strik3r meant but he's not quite smart enough to be able to do intelligence - yes, an interesting sentence structure, get over it) an animal he loved, cared for, supported etc killed him. That would be irony. And ou would have to agree somewhat with him, he did love animals and its a real shame that it eventuated in his death.

I really feel for his kids. His wife is also bushwalking down in Tasmania, I've been where she is and if she's out on the trail they'll have to walk out to tell her which I doubt the rangers would do. She may have a sat phone, with their money it wouldn't surprise me but then not many people carry them and it wouldn't really be needed as the trail is uber-popular.

nutter on the money.

i find people's lack of understanding regarding the correct use of the term "irony" to be much more upsetting than irwin's untimely demise.

Theresa
I did a google search for "Steve Irwin Death" and got this:

Steve Irwin

Two or three times a year I receive some variation of the following:

My wife and I have been hearing disturbing rumors for over 6 months that Steve Irwin, 'The Crocodile Hunter,' was killed in some horrible accident. We checked some Internet bulletin boards and we noticed that this rumor has been circulating since 1997 (or before!). However, we can find no official rebuttal. Is the Croc Hunter alive or dead?

Irwin has had to deny this rumor for years. On his Discovery.com Website he writes: "I've never been bitten by a venomous snake, and I recently heard that I'd been killed. Ha ha! I've been killed by crocodiles, venomous snakes, spiders. I've even had a beetle crawl in my ear and kill me once. Nah! I'm here to tell you Steve Irwin lives!"

The rumor has taken on a certain irony since January 2001, when Irwin came closer than ever to buying the farm for real. While moving a 176-pound female crocodile from one pen to another at his zoo in Australia, Irwin's attention was distracted and the beast sank its teeth into his leg — to the tune of 12 stitches. According to news reports, proof that Irwin survived the attack was captured on videotape.

^^^^^^^^^Now THAT is ironic.
