When I need to... either for scratching/cutting or if I need to take our or put in 2 channels at once, sometimes I'll assign the relevant channels to the crossfader to free up a hand.
Or to fade the sampler in/out: with my mixer the sampler hasn't got its own channel, but you can assign it to a side of the crossfader, although now I've set it up so I can run it out through the fx send and back into a channel so I can EQ it and use a channel fader to fade it out... :crazy:
But very very rarely for 'normal' mixing - nowhere near enough control over your levels. |
