Wow Erika....that's way too close for comfort. I'm glad you're ok and sorry you had to go through such a terror.
It's just awful that people our age have had to witness such awful things that they'll never, ever forget.
Psy-Trancer I feel absolutely terrible for your friend too...Nobody should have to go through that...I couldn't even imagine what he must be thinking right now. Poor guy.
I was reading some of the shooter's journals on vampirefreaks.com, the site where he was a member. in weird. A lot of people on the radio are blaming the website, and saying it should be brought down, etc. |

Holy good luck to anyone trying to get on Vampire freaks cause its being heavilly abused. Finally managed to get on and looks like the administrator allready put up some news on what happend. |

No excuse for what this guy did, all you psychology majors can explain it away as this and that, and all you sociologists can blame society for it.
The fact is society doesnt account for 100% of people man, the fact is there are people that still just dont fit in, even in the most detached from society "cliques" such as the vampire goth scene guys. |

His parents and friends (if any) have to be blamed for this.
You can't leave a person in that state without referring him to a doctor to get treated for depression, schizo or whatever he had.
There's plenty of crazy people around us, and they are capable of such , but most of them are taken care of and treated. |

Guys, good to know you're okay, esp Stereohead and Psy-Trancer. 'Never met any of you guys but after being on TA here for nine months, you kinda feel you know each other a bit anyways.
No doubt this will inspire some attention-seeking psychotic loner somewhere - this was copy cat all the way. I love the internet, allows ppl like us to discuss all sorts of niche interests and stuff... but it's also a tool for individuals to feed sick fetishes like kiddie porn, hate crimes, odes to Columbine, etc. This dude is a byproduct of all the things you guys mentioned: society, failure of family, violent disposition, controversial web sites and so on. His family is def paying for his sins (and maybe theirs?) as we speak... |
