sorry but there is no alternative, except for maybe an authentic philly cheesesteak... |
I agree its good....but even norcal was deprived of In-and-out. Its only been in the bay area for like 5 years. I used to drive to Tracy to even have one. Right before I transplanted to socal a couple years ago they really started popping up in the bay. Once I moved here they are everywhere so it kinda takes the uniqueness out of it. |

all that matters is the taste and the price, not the exclusiveness. as long as in-n-out maintains it's policy of having all it's ingredients fresh and within 24 hours drive of every location, i couldn't care if there was one next to every starbucks in california. anyway the fries have been getting better in the last 6 months than they've ever been. |

this is so true. if portillo's merely franchised itself so that it could become a nationwide chain, it would dominate.
but then again it would probably lose its chicago flavor if that happened. |

The Cookout-Really good food, insanely cheap. A little less than $5 for a meal with one entree (barbeque, burger, chicken, etc), 2 sides (fries, hushpuppies, corn dog, vegetables, etc) and a drink. They also have 32 flavors of milkshake.
Frank and Stein-Self explanatory. Hot dogs/Corn dogs, etc. and beer. Cheap too. |
