Scabies isn't contagious, and it isn't bugs. It's a vitamin deficiency. So you can rule out scabies. :p |
lol ok dr. jennypie.
what medical school did you go to? because the dermatologist and the vet I went to back when I took in a litter full of stray kittens both told me i caught scabies from the kittens. the most obvious sign is flakey, crusty skin under their fur.
i had to wash all the linens in the apt. and my bf at the time and his sister also caught it..she was living with us too.
oh and i guess websters is full of too.

My bad...I was wrong. I got my info backwards....there is a vitamin deficiency that people commonly call scabies...but it's not the same thing. Wooooooooooops! |

I think Waldorf and Stadtler would be more appropriate names for your cats.

I wanted to call my cats Wingus & Dingus but my sister was having none of it. :( |

heh thanks for the info guys and gals. :)
my symptoms were classic for an allergic reaction, so i really doubt it's scabies.
she's just a fluffy lil troublemaker. |

yea trust me when i say that scabies is no walk in the park.
those friggin cats had it made, i swear. it was so sad because we started out with 4, and all of them had issues...i was at the ER vet like every other night with one of them. they were literally cutting me deals with all of the expenses, like waiving the office visits and stuff.
only 2 survived:( i'd wake up every hour on the hour to their meowing and feed them from a bottle, half asleep. i swear it was like having a new born. and then in the morning one of them would be dead and the others would be sitting there meowing their heads off. it was so sad. i went through a state of depression after all that bull. lol |
