trying to work out who sky sports will have as the token aussie again, I'm guessing Darren Lehmann will be invited back (legend) although I'd love to hear Deano, his humour is second to none, used to love the channel 9 feeds we'd get through. It has to go better than the last series (Pakistan) where (i forget his name) was nearly in tears on air as the match-fixing thing happened. His makeup ran

Lehmann is captain of SA, he'll have match commitments

BOOF IS KING.

well, for anyone watching the ICC, it looks like the ODI series between us is going your way anyhow

We're gonna miss Jones, he did his ankle in the 4th test last year & hasn't played since :( He's hoping to make the world cup but it's touch & go :(

that reverse swing he had going was ing amazing.

michael vaughan has played some amazing innings in his time against australia, i still remember that double ton he scored a while back. he is an amazing captain. atleast if he doesnt come back he will be remembered as the captain who ended the drought for england.

yeah for sure. Vaughan had what no other england captain had, and what the likes of Waugh & Taylor had in my recollection, belief. That spreads amongst the players. I don't think Ponting has it myself, Warney does for sure, having taken average players in english county cricket & nearly won stuff with them too...

Jones is a sad story, he has so much talent, and he peaked at that time. Had he been able to carry on uninjured he could be the world's best bowler now. Now he has to start it all again when he's fit, I only hope he does so & doesn't end up losing his edge, a la gough or cork.

only 10 days away now!!! england off to a slow start as they always do when they tour aus.

looks like vaughan will be back 3rd test which is a big boost for england. they need flintoff to find his feet quickly.

im gonna go watch the 3 day game between england and south australia on friday as i probably wont be able to get tickets to the ashes in adelaide.hopefully flintoff and pietersen fire up for me :happy2:
Philby
go the prime minister's 11 :D

what a horrible performance by englands second string bowlers!!

the only positive for england was to see strauss find some form on aussie soil as they need him to come out strong in the first test.

first positive day for england on the tour.

harmison 3 wickets

strauss 50
pietersen 80 not out
flintoff 48 not out

we're doomed. We're going to drop Bell who has been the highest scoring batsman this year, bring jones in for read, so its extras for everyone! and to top it off, giles will get picked ahead of panesar for his batting, plus plunkett can't get in cos of sajid mahmood who's dodgy
