as long as my fav player pietersen is still in there is always hope of an eventual draw.

a draw is basically a win for england now.

bell/pietersen
and then flintoff have to put together 2 big partnerships to try to get to 350-400 by mid day 4 then bat the 2nd innings to the end of day 5 for the draw.

i still have faith.

People slag the Aussies for having an older team, but look at there experienced seasoned test match players, and they can bad right the way down the order. Also it helps having the two best bowlers in world cricket for the last 10 years.

Trescothick is a blow. Hopefully Vaughan will get fit soon. But his injury can ruin his career. Jones is a better batter than Read, but he is a donkey behind the stumps. Flintoff is probably the wrong choice for captain.

Our batsman have no disipline. Cook has made some great knocks, and Bell is coming along nicely. Collingwood is a bit dodgy. McCrath just bowls consistant line and length, yet they still fish for shots which aint there. They should be more selected with there shots and put away the bad balls. Warne usually always wins the mind games, but it will be an intresting battle between Pieterson & Warne tomorrow!

I think we will miss Simon Jones greatly, the one real bowler that can swing the ball in, and then get the away swinger going the very next ball. Great bowler, who caused the Aussies great trouble last ashes.

I think the ball is going to be flying past our ear all winter!

seriously, this game is the longest drawn-out rape scene ive ever had the misfortune to watch. havent seen a thrashing like this since germany & russia put poland on the spit.

sorry ian, but why the do you guys bother?
Ian
because its bred into me. I was named after a cricketer who that summer had done well against the aussies, my dad's an umpire, my brothers cricket mad & I just am too, I have no idea why, but if you think we're bad now, you've not seen anything. I remember days of us being terrible & way behind other teams in the world. Plus we remember last time where we got a hiding & went on to win, I'm sure sid still does remember his 5-0 rant.

oh, and the humour. have seen some great moments. Eng vs Aus & Eng vs West Indies have been most of them. I love how people can drink all day & laugh their heads off, or like what just happened, billy bowden got floored by a sweep shot.
