Finally rested and ready to reflect. Got there super early, and Hai Lee Chen made the reed room not only bearable, but downright entertaining for the first time ever. After we were finally allowed to trot into the main room like a pack of lemmings jumping off the cliff, Jollins did a great job of warming up. I was bummed that the crowd didn't seem as in to him as they were at G&D, though. At first Ferry wasn't killing it for me, but really went crazy as the night progressed. Cubikated ruled. Stayed til the bitter end. Thought he had totally shut down, but did one more song or two, the lights were all on and Crobar folks were sweeping up. When Ferry was talking to the stragglers, signing pumpkins, did anyone else here some fool telling him "dude, I wish you had played [blah blah, some songs I can't remember]"? WTF? Rudeness Giuliani.

Wish I could have been there guys :( I went out to our warehouse party for a bit and caught the plauge that everyone else has so I'm praying for death now.
LOL @ the pumpkin; that's some sam and I would get into LOL! He was just as confused signing the Ferry doll. |

| so i arrive at the club around 10:40pm and realize theres no line, so i get in without having to wait and once i got there they didnt open the main room yet, so we were just all hangin out in the reed room and Hai Lee Chen was spinnin the sickest trance tracks!!! it was startin to get really packed so then about an hour later they opened up the main room and then the main room started to fill up pretty quickly, i was glowstringin along with some other people at the beginning and then around 1 am Ferry came on the place wasnt majorly packed but just perfect. The first track he dropped was so insane!! and he was amazing the whole night !!! i was dancin for most of the night and i have to say that Ferry really blew me away, i was pretty surprised the place didnt stay that crowded around 5 am when i left, overall though an amazing night and set!! |

I don't know about Spirit but Sneaker Pimps was holding some type of sneaker event @ Avalon where they showcased some custom sneakers, ran a skateboarding demo (skate ramps etc), and had random hip hop dj's and producers performing i.e. Funk Master Flex, Clipse, etc.

Drew n I got to Crobar at 10:30PM, no line whatsoever...Hai Lee was throwing DOWN in a crowded REED ROOM, and he was def ON POINT...and I loved your new PRODUCTION (with Andy Haze)...if that doesn't get signed...there is DEF something wrong...GREAT JOB with the tracks and for ending with a FERRY track...damns Crobar you better bring him back there cuz he's def got a local following thats for sure!!!
surprising Crobar wasn't THAT crowded on Fridayyy...the NYTAs actually had a circle going on...it was like a NYTA reunionnnn -- great to see u vtec, joey, tom,kels, jay, mere, blake, rob, stan, walid, big mike, and sam (again THANKS for taking pictures with ur camera Sam!!! def appreciated).
had my FIRST experience hanging out on stage...it was def interesting and fun...def a different perspective -- thanks to Jason...who by the way IN KILLED it opening up for FERRY. i could NOT stop dancing for the LIFE of me... damns -- BEST set to DATEEEE that ive heard from you, good job boy!!! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your night :tongue :tongue :tongue :tongue :tongue
While on stage, saw Davet and then Jon (Xtina's friend) who i hadn't SEEN in a YEAR, sooo funny and sweet as ALWAYS!!! so that was pretty awesome indeed...
everyone got off stage when Ferry was about to come on...while I wouldn't say that this was Ferry's BEST set ever (nothing will replace his October 2004 show at Avalon and Labour of Love was freakin awesome too) -- he was RELENTLESS in throwing down some siiick tracks, some which I did not recognize...and he did throw down GOURYELLA which reminded me of LIZ (ny1004) and Albert (mets4012) and I wished they had come...:(
Around 4am-5am we went up to VIP to chill, there was like NO ONE up there, not packed like it was during ARMIN last week...gotta give Drew props for persistence...he managed to get both of us BACK on stage around 5ish after showing the bouncer our bracelets twice...got Ferrys attention and told him we were both at LOL in September...Ferry said he remembered that I had given him the beads backstage during Toronto -- I was DEF ecstatic at hearing that and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek :tongue2 Drew got his dollar bill signed while I decided to get his autograph on my arm -- and again that made me so happy i danced a jigg next to the speaker for a lil bit, being sillieee. We both got a picture with Ferry before thanking him and stepping off the stage. As the lights came on, he threw down Veracocha - Carte Blanche and then we danced our hearts out on the floor with the remaining NYTAs :tongue2

full of INTERESTING/awesome moments too:
1)Running into Mere and Kelly in the Reed Room. "Where's Jay?!!" Mere being "He didn't come!" (grrr) Drew n i predicting that he WOULD show up -- cmon, a free FERRY party?! probably by 1am...and sure enough he arrived...but at 11ish...ahhah :p
2)Crowd was aiite -- seemed to be drunk ppl EVERYWHERE!!! does anyone remember those guys and girl pushing to the FRONT, the guys had orange RACING uniforms...wonder who they were...or that drunk blonde chick in a black tank top (i had thought she was with her friends and BF...but then she was dancing with a few different guys during the night...hmm at least the floor was spacious enough
3) RobDawg and Hai Lee - at least they were both happieee drunks...Rob was smiling like CRRRAAZY all night and dancing erratically it was soo cute...while Hai Lee was just a fitful of uncontrollable giggles the entire night. saw you outside after the show ended...hope you made it home okayyy :nervous*
4) Seeing that lil pumpkin APPEAR in Jay's hand at the end of the show..."Where the hell did u find that?!" rofl :tongue2 then yeah, seeing Ferry look at it, show it to the crowd, and not knowing what to do with it. Ahhaha Jay u are soo cute as always ^__^

I also saw a guy standing with a girl, a very SLIM, petite girl with short black hair dressed in black as well...
vtec n joey: def miss partying wid you guys, brought back so many memories...
jay, mere, kels, tom, blake: great great fun as it has been for the PAST few times that we've hung out...def memorable moments, whether at clubs or outside :tongue2
to my baby: THANKS for being soo forward and getting Ferry to talk to us...I was just hanging back sorta...i was feeling really *SHY* all of a sudden when i was up there :p i was just happiee to be there. didn't wanna bother him too much since he was spinning...

btw was the dj booth placed a bit further back on stage? it was kinda hard for everyone in front to see his face. I know Kelly n i were straining ourselves to see him...well we did step a little further back...did heart signs, and he returned it. so we were happieee <3

HEHE Thanks! I didn't really now how to dance to Trance when I first moved here well because where I lived in Ga there was no Trance! lol So, Shivers by Armin was what made me fall in love with it. It was like I felt the music traveling through my body and I can just let go of everyhting....like I say music is my escape my meditation. I have been hooked.....EDM is my drug! My brother was entirely way to messed up to be taken vids and pics so I am sure that was not him! lol His mane is Brandon...he had a great time and cant wait to go out again! As for the pics Ill have them up in just a sec. Thought I had alot more than I do but I think after I got a little munked up myself I lost ability to take them! lol Are you guys going to Sean Tyas???? My boyfriend cant wait to meet you guys! Thats another reason why I left early last night....My boyfriend is the best. I missed him so much and he is so cute watching my kids that I just wanted to be in his arms.....uhg here I go getting mussy but I love him bunches and bunches!!!! I know he's reading this....lol He is GDI247 on here...give him a shout out!!!! ok back to getting pics ready! |
