| Stan: I respect your opinion but if you notice 99% of the people who go to Armin would disagree as the club/TW is always packed straight til the bitter end when he comes to town. Not very many DJ's can hold a full crowd past 4am. I respect your opinion, but I think most people would disagree in saying that he is average, or else no one would stay the full six hours. :tongue2 |

hey now i never said everyone, or even 'some' people :p I was simply stating a fact about myself - I've never closed an Armin show, and I've always left with a headache =/ |

i would say armin's style is very average in creativity and djing. now going by track selection, i tend to like most of his sets. in terms of doing something unique, trying new things, tricks, fast mixing, interesting blends... etc, then he's average indeed. there's really no difference between armin and any other dj who knows how to beatmatch and mix songs except for the fact that he's armin.
to be honest, pretty much almost every trance dj can be put in the same category as armin. majority of trance dj's don't try new things or push the limits of djing. out of the top trance jocks, i have to say pvd definitely does the most in terms of djing. which is why i always put in him such high regard. as of late, he's kinda been on and off, but i always respect the fact that he's not out there to see who can beatmatch the best.
i really hope more trance dj's look more into the turntablism aspect of djing. i shouldn't be one to talk since i am just a mixer as well, but i definitely plan on learning tricks and interesting ways to entertain the crowd and "wow" them. |

I've been on every Armins gig here in NYC, he's energetic sets are the best of all trance djs, the energy he brings to the clubs is just amazing! his radio show is broadcasted all over the world!
