| I am not boycotting it but for regular nights I will not step foot in there. Listening to nothing but house in the guv, the drink , and gallery makes me stay awayy...Unless its a trance event...Sorry but I miss the days where M.O. would throw down trance instead of house...If i wanted house I would go to Sonic. I hope someone opens up a bigger trance club just to show up Charles. There is so much more tallent out there that he can bring in but yet he brings in the same ol dj's... |

I love the Guv
being going for years..(six, holy ) and have always loved it. there are some notable exceptions (ie. hallowe'en..i'll never do it again), but other than that, I love the place
It really doesn't have that many shirtless guys. Really, in comparison, it doesn't. And I like the "sketchy asians". They mnind their own business, are always polite (unless they're at the point of incoherence, but i've never come across a deliberately RUDE sketchy asian)
plus theres a room for everyone.

I don't hate the Guv. I feel like I'm too old to tolerate the crowds and the fact that the bathrooms are too few for the amount of people. But I have had some of the funnest nights of my life there.

Agreed. I think TOTAs are being too spoiled. We have one of the best clubs in the world (how many DJs ahve said this?) bringing in major talent week-in and week-out, and you guys complain about drugged out Asians? Give me a break. There's a LOAD of cities in North America that would DIE to have a club like Guv. We're damn ing lucky that it's here. Toronto's scene wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for Guv. |
