Dammit!!
I reserve a room at the original price and now they put this sheit up.
I can still get out of that reservation and get this i guess. |

Our hotel is only 1 block from a red line station, only an 8 min ride to 7th Street/Metro Center.
2 questions:
#1) Is it safe at god knows what time we'll be leaving?
#2) Does it run all night/morning on NYE/New Year's Day?
Or should we just take our rental car on the 5-6 mile trip? |

| we walked all over downtown after GIANT in july and felt plenty safe. the place was deserted...granted, we may have just been lucky and/or too fubar'ed to notice/care. |

Please note, due to the demand around the Rose Bowl, the hotel is requiring a two-night minimum stay. We recommend staying Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1, 2007 as, in addition to going late into the wee hours at giant MAXIMUS on New Year’s Eve, we will be having a day / evening party very close to the Bonaventure on Monday, January 1, 2007.

I just got a sasha news letter email that said Giant NYE is going to go until 5:30am

#1 - other than the clubbers at Giant, it will be deserted downtown. totally safe.
#2 - on NYE they do tend to extend the hours. i believe the 1st trains in the morning start around 5:30, so you if you wait until Giant closes (5-530ish) you can meander to the red line station and get one of the 1st trains back to your hotel. |

Thanks! Looks like will be meandering to the station. A quick shower & change of clothes before afterhours should do the trick. :) |
