How many of you would rather text somebody than call them up.

I feel like many of my friends are just texting me nowadays, and when we're hanging out they run their mouth of but apart they just text, what's up with that?

am I just an old school russian and prefer a telephone call??

... and whatever happened to breadlines?:wtf:

I prefer phone calls. However, if you need to communicate with someone and you know they're working, or at a movie or any other place where they won't be able to speak, then texting is the way to go.

but this is like -

"hey what are you doing?" or "wanna go out?"

and i'm just sitting at home and so are they.

i understand if they're at a club and it's too loud or they're at work.

but this is standard communication that can be done over the phone.
bananas
I use text msgs because it's cheaper:wtf:

I use text messages because I genuinely hate talking to people on the phone.

Meh. I can see why someone would want to do it, and all the more power to them if they want to. Personally, I'd much rather call them.
RapidFire
I dont text.
KilldaDJ
phone call if i want an instant reply, otherwise i'll send a text along...
Demoted
text messaging. I hate talking on the phone for three seconds and then hanging up. I can usually convey what I need to through a text message and I don't need an immediate reply most of the time.
EXTREMUM
I use both.

Text messages are good, for sending quick words of thought to someone, when phone calls aren't absolutely necessary. However, it's not meant for carrying an entire conversation, unless it's private in nature.
