I dunno man, I've been to psy parties in TO, MTL, and a few in Europe, and by FAR the worst and stupidest crowds, bar none, have consistently been in Toronto. I've decided a while ago to NEVER, but ing never go to a party where one of the headliners is from Israel. At least not in TO.
Its too bad to hear so many of you had such a bad time. I actually thought this thread was going to have some nice reviews. |

Before anything I wanna say thank you to all the TA's who made it out to make the night better. Trancegrooves, m2j, Lexxwolfen, Smuncky, Hardcore Trancer, Cosmic Fur, Sean Cassisy, Souvalaki (sorry you had a horrible time man:( ), Cosmic Fur, Engine9... I think that about covers all the TA's I know, sorry I didn't meet you Eug.
My night can be summed up with mixed reactions....
The Music: 6.5/10 I had no real expectation of Yahel as a DJ since most of the sets he releases seem like self promotions of his productions. At first, I was loving his basslines and the energy in the room, it was a fresh change from the proggy, electro, chunky bassline house that was on before. It really had the crowd going, but as the night progressed, it was easy to realise that anything could have been played and this is how everyone would have reacted. As the set progressed, it was made clear that climaxes, energy changes etc had been thrown out the window, this was the same sound for the rest of the set. It really killed my energy as the previous DJ had done the same thing but it's kind of expected since it's an opening DJ. I came to the conlusion that Yahel maybe a great producer, but he definetly DJ's for extra income rather than true passion. His technical ability sucks and if he didn't play some awesome tracks which he produced, no one would know who he is. I thank you for those short spirts of great t00nage, but other than that never again Mr.Yahel.
Crowd: 0/10. Never seen such a bad crowd in my life. I'd rather be in a club full of the destiny jungle ravers, viva sketcheads and the guv 'norms' than be stuck in that room. It will take alot for me to go back to this venue, and a very good Israeli DJ for me to sacrifice being with these morons again.
In conclusion, I say that it's been a while since I heard some decent trance in Toronto so for those 6 or so tracks, I thank Yahel for doing something. I don't regret going to this, but I have definetly have experienced alot of things people have told me that I needed to see first hand. |

lol I saw that,it was in pathatic, and nobody stopped it,no bouncer to be seen. That what happens when you have persians and Isralies in one place.:haha:
so the review: I knew the crowd was going to be garbage right from the begining so I was ready,so i didnt let it get into me,I can tell 98% of the people were there to pick up girls and to act like complete idiots.I wonder if the crowd is this bad in Israel as well?
oh well I tried to make the best out of it,I was in the back by the speaker and didnt have people shoving and pushing as much.
It was a pleasure partying with Sean Cassisy (thanks alot for the tickets my friend) and Spaniard.
Music: some good classics here and there, but absolutley no flow and transition, but then again for the crowd non of these things matters anyways lol. |

but only when it is played right. What Yahel played was not the psy trance i was hoping for, neither it was anything like i had heard from Yahel before. anywhoooos ... time for much needed shower and then bed ... more on this night later in the day. |
I was listening to it on the radio when i was driving home from Metro... I didnt hear any psy trance at all. though I only listened for 40 minutes. |
