Sorry to hear about the disappointing time.
Really glad that family and other Christmas holiday priorities kept me from checking out this party in Toronto. |

That what happens when you have Persians and Israelis in one place.:haha:
|
WTF are you talking about,:wtf: Im Israeli and i came with all my Israeli friends AND my Persian friends and we are all tight, regardless of our backgrounds.... and this is not like 3 Persians its close to about 10-15...
and to the rest of you who didn't like Yahels set, Im really sorry u didn't like it, its not for everyone.... personally i thought it was absolutely banging, the whole club was going mental, and if you got elbowed big deal, if u get rammed at a mega club like Guv, expect to get elbowed at a small tin can of a club
music 9/10
crowd 7/10
overall 8/10
best party ive been to in a while
PS nice to meet lightshow, violetta, wish i couldve met some other TA's |

edit: hmmmm. after reading ALL the reviews, im not that upset anymore lol |
I dunno Sasha - me, Bogie and Antonchik had a blast there the whole time we were inside. I'm not a Yahel fanboy by any measure - never heard any of his sets or productions, nor am I Jewish so there's no racial pride there either. I just knew he was Psy Trance, came in with an open mind, and he blew me away.
The night wasn't without its faults of course - getting in was a MAJOR bitch. Spent 30 mins outside in a lineup, and another 30 in the coat check line while every Jew and their 6545343 friends passed their coats up to the front. So the people who patiently waited in line got ed over by those who had lots of friends and passed their jackets up to the front. GRRR.
The club itself was alright. Never been to Fluid, and I think instead of making two small rooms, they should have made 1 big room. Other than that it was fine - the ceilings were a bit low, and without any A/C or fans, all the cigarette smoke and sweat didn't dissipate, and just hung around your face all night. It was maaad hot in there too - I was completely drenched in sweat by the time I came out of the club. Sound was decent - not the greatest I've heard, and I thought it was sucky when I first came in, but then shortly later I stopped noticing it.
The crowd.. well... it was certainly a certified Jewish bonanza that night. The guys were pushy and idiotic, but there were enough slutty bitches there, so that kind of made up for it. Everyone was going insane for Yahel, and maybe it was because he was Israeli, and maybe it was because of his set, but you know what, I don't really care which one it was. As long as the people are enjoying themselves in the club, it makes it that much easier for me to enjoy myself too and share the excitement. Yes, sometimes the shouting and jumping got a little excessive, but people were having fun and that's all that counts imo.
The music, as I've already said, was rocking imo. Wicked melodes at some times, sick hard beats at others, electric guitars here and there, and enough dirty Psy synths too. I dunno why I enjoyed it so much while the rest of you didn't - maybe because I haven't heard Trance since Ultra Spin 11, or maybe it was because I've always loved good Psy Trance. I couldn't care less about the transitions and whatever the . It's the song that keeps me going, not the transition to it, so to me the track itself is everything, and he dropped ENUFF wicked tunes that night. His first half was definitely better, but he kept me going without any efforts towards the very end. He was really into the music itself too, and that really helped - with every build he's get the crowd hyped up, and it was easy to get caught up in it.
Edit: Oh, and nice to meet you Extacy Bomb. I have already forgotten what you look like, so you'll have to introduce yourself a second time for it to stick, I think, lol. |

Be nice, don't turn the thread into a racial or religious war. He didn't mean anything by that and even if he did you don't have to retaliate. I'm only saying this because I want the discussion to continue so we can remember the night, rather then which community was there. |
