Holy thats an embarrassing question. Go read a ing book about WWII in the Pacific and then right after that read about a little country that used to be the USSR that we were attempting to scare off so we didn't get into a MAD situation.
If you don't think that was a tough ing call to make compared to some nut in Iraq gassing people he didn't feel like sharing ground with...

What, the pre-emptive invasion of a non-threatening sovereign country and consequential deaths of thousands, including the acting leader (all protected under international law) isn't enough for you, you want more blood? This whole state sponsored murder thing has to stop somewhere.

In regard to "A" its because theres no good way to kill people and giving a "more horrible" way of death would cause more problems than a time honored classic - hanging. |

A few words will do no justice to the enormity of World War II. All I can suggest is that for the truly interested, there is a very large body of literature in existence that details the situation.
A passing interest and some trivia about it would be meaningless without a contextual understanding of world politics from 1912 to the 1980's. |
