Yea..exactly! And i Boosted it a bit around 35 - 40 to get it to work well in the bottom end with the bassline. Then i cut a bit around 200 - 300 to get rid of some unwanted rumble that can desturb the bassline. And finally i gave it a little boost around 2500 to give it some more pressence in the mix. But its always a bit different from mix to mix, like if you had a beat with only a simple offbeat bass, you shouldnt need to tweak the kic that much. But these are the guidelines i always start from!

Or try the kick i just posted! ^^^^ :)
camsr
substorm that kick is alright. IT sounds layered with a cymbal or something and compressed with an 80 ms attack. Truth be told alot of kicks sound like by themselves unless you add something like a cymbal on top.

Okay I will show you guys a few of my kicks I made the other day based off the infected mushroom tutorial. They're short and phat but the click is somewhat psy. They need some EQ.

I have alot more on another computer which were made with various synths and programs but Audition is def my fav to use.

Haven't you heard? It doesn't sound good if it doesn't have analog. Quick, add some before it's too late!

I fear it might be too late, I tend to find my analog corrupts to digital if not applied straight away.

Load up digitalh8terz vst effect on the insert and set it to tyaskick IMMEDIATELY!!!

I use anechoic room simulator to analogify. But flutlicht junky is right, you have to create the mixdown immediately or else it will degrade into digital. So if you don't get the right sound out of it, it's probably just because you're working too slowly.
