ing shame that this attitude is pretty much advocated as a "good mindset" throuughout Milwaukee.

:(

everything in Milwaukee is centered around drinking. :\

i mean, not that booze is bad or anything, but when it's the center of your ing existence and you can't have a good time without it... you need help.

Indeed - And believe me, I do understand that you need to be able to draw a crowd and make the clubs money, but the unabashed whoring of people solely to make money, and the complete denial that the music is worth anything, is what I think sets Milwaukee apart.

I've seen little to no evidence that most Milwaukee DJ's do what they do for any reason other than a payday, and maybe it's just the idealist in my, but it really makes me sad.

The whole city of Milwaukee is centered around an alcohol culture. It's far more than just college students.

And again, booze is great, but why even have a DJ when you could just as easily plug in a laptop, setup a playlist with a winamp crossfader, and play the same top 40/euro/hip hop that the "DJ" is "mixing"?

ah the milwaukee nights boards. I havent actively posted on there since oakenfold and felix da housecat came through town. Too many pricks roam those boards. I read the thread you guys were refering to and all I can say is :stongue:

Devist8 sounds like a huge douche bag. "15 years under my belt" and yet he's obviously forgotten the reason he probably started spinning in the first place.

Indeed :)

When it comes to MN - I like to go in, say my piece, watch for a few minutes, and then just walk away.

It's simply hilarious to me how reactionary the general populous of their site is - Anyone could easily refute what I have to say with simple, adult explanations.

Unfortunately, it appears very, very few on there are capable of discussion without excessive use of smileys, caps lock, and insults.

Ah, the internet - Shame most people in Wisconsin are just discovering it!
