Ryan... you cant be serious, please. We need to meet up at a restaurant or a pub or something beforehand. I can't remember the name of the place we met up before Markus but it was a nice place. Can anyone recall the name of this place? It was a nice restaurant with pool tables, etc. in the back and only a few blocks from Vision.
Can't wait! :D |

f'ing amazing show. Blake had a kick ass set, Thrillseekers (Steve) did too (what a kooky guy! lol) - and A&B closed with yet another terrific set. My fav was Thrillseekers tho - that's just the style of trance I love - and it was track after track of it. When he dropped Purple Haze - Rush it was just PERFECT. It could not have been executed/mixed in/timed better. 2nd fav was Blake. Sander van Doorn "Grasshopper" sounded terrific. Blake's mix of Not Alone Tonight was also killer, I really love that track. Throw some Prydz "Can't remember" (whats it called) into the mix and you just can't go wrong - that bassline ftw. A&B was really good too but I just prefer my trance harder and more banging. They played some of that too but most of it was the smoother style with long basslines etc. One of the best trance shows I been to. Honestly Steve didn't play anything I didn't care for. I could mostly say the same for Blake's too but I missed a little of the beginning.
Fun seeing everyone too, there were a good number of ppl I hadn't seen in a while. Steve really is a goofy guy. For a little while, we lost him - he went somewhere with his video camera - and nobody could find him. He showed up sometime later but he had us wondering where the f he went. He likes his video and pictures! Good for him. So great to finally see Thrillseekers. |

Unfortunately, I got there a little late too due to a birthday party (came from The Underground on 56 W Illinois--that place was going off, btw. One of the chicks from Destiny's Child was there lol). Anyway, missed Blake's set:(( and got there probably about halfway through the Thrillseeker's set. Like Rubin said, Steve was doing a really great job and it was great to hear him live. Was hoping to hear Hydra - Affinity (as it is one of my all-time fav tracks) but his set rocked nonetheless.
Above & Beyond (minus Jono) came on and opened with Sufjan Stevens vs Signalrunners - Chicago--was awesome! Then they went right into Cara Dillon vs 2devine - Black is the Colour (Coco & Green remix)--this track rocks live. The place was pretty damn packed and the energy was great. They also threw in No One on Earth, and probably the highlight of the night for me is when they dropped Tranquility Base - Surrender--love that track. A&B definitely delivered again.
Great to see Rubin, Andy, Blake (I like how A&B texted you lol), and a few others. Now bring on Armin:) |

a few more words... when A&B dropped "Cafe Del Mar" I heard it starting, but I didn't think they would play that and so I thought it would be a remix or some sampled thing into something else but it turned out to be that track, in its OG glory - that was pretty cool to hear I thought. And also Steve dropped Racoon - Love you More (Armin mix) - one of my fav's from last year (it was a lot of ppl's favs lol).
Yea it woulda been good to hear Affinity - if I could pick something to hear, I would have probably gone with some Rapid Eye stuff - ideally it would have been his rmx of "You put me in Heaven with your touch" - that's the track that got me into Thrillseekers (although I had heard Rapid Eye and other Thrillseekers before that, I didn't know). With that being said I think its time for some Ferry Corsten @ Innercity '99 :P
Was great to hear A&B start off with the Chicago track, yes. |

I also claimed thats one of the best trance parties that I have been to in a while. Awesome sets, my fav was Thrillseekers. Blake did an great job of getting the crowd ready for the headliners. Packed dance floor. Thrillseeker passed out some records to the crowd and I was able to get one. Body is hurting from dancing on those front steps infront of the stage. Bring on ARMIN!@!@!@!@
Blake, nice to finally meet you in person. Thanks for the awesome show!
Btw, im in detroit airport... transfering to boston!!! Lets see what i can find there.
