now that I think about it, the ones that bitch about it aren't really my friends, so much are as they are people I work with or roommates (people I didn't know moving in), but even still, dealing with anyone that you have to be around that likes to be vocal about how 'bad' your music is. |
a friends is a friend bro, but i feel u..... |

it doesn't affect us really. We accept each other's music. |

haha...so true..but there are exceptions...
I have a friend who's from Halifax, and they use to have crazy parties all the time in empty warehouses...train stations...etc. They'd have world class DJs come and perform for them. Apparently she was they had a huge Happy Hardcore seen...HULLABALOO!! haha |
Yeah, Halifax is the only saving grace around N.S., I've spent many nights around Hali, and have had some wicked times.
Reflections always seems to have wicked music, that is if you don't mind being the minority (being straight that is). But basically anywhere else in the province is basically left out of the loop.
Mind you there is the Evolve Festival. So all is not lost back in Nova Scotia I suppose. |

| A big wtf goes out to all the people who ditched their previous friends for not listening to EDM, or not accepting them for listening to EDM. |

I have a few select friends that like or love EDM along with me, but alot of the others think it's the most awful music they have ever heard and everytime I have it on, I always have to listen to them bitch about it in the process. I'm sure you guys have come across this problem as well. How do you deal with this? |
Have them take a long walk off a short pier. |

yeah..i kinda agree. I would ditch friends based on the genre of music they like. Sometimes its a little difficult when you wanna go to a club all night or something, but you can just hangout w/ them afterwards.
I'm have a little bit of a harder cause my GF isn't a big fan of the music. I try and take her to clubs, but its hard. She doesn't really hate the music, she'll listen to it if I make her, but she just finds the clubs sketchy and stuff and doesn't want to be around that lol. |

A big wtf goes to all my friends that judged me, instead of actually seeing if they like it. I have no problem with my other friends who like other music as I do to. But when it's basically an intervention everytime we hang out, I'll pass thanks. For example, they always say I'm a druggy, but yet they get so drunk almost every night of the week that they can barely speak and do tons of blow. Not all my friends were like this, only a few, which is why I stopped talking to them. At least I have a passion for the music. |

i tell 'em to go themselves and smile .. :D
then they just sit down and listen to it..
still, when they're blastin' their rap in their cars, i don't say jack , unless its utterly retarded (like alot apparantly)..
anyways.. MUSIC should not break friendships (unless its really really fuked up).. :p if it does, then something is definitely wrong with friendship, i.e. they r not ur friends to start of with.. |
