didn't find a post on this so i thought i'd start one. i was considering posting in music dicussion but normally all the hip hop threads i've seen always lead to some fools being very ignorant about it so i figured this would fit better in the nyc forum (after all nas is from nyc).
listened to the whole thing from start to finish a couple times... and i really like most of the tracks. i'm glad some more mainstream artists are speaking out about how hip hop has turned into hip pop. of course there are tons of underground dudes who are still holding it down but they never get the attention they deserve.
good album.. i give him 9/10 |

I'm the biggest Nas fan I know. It's my favorite since Stillmatic, but not better than that, Illmatic, It was Written, or I Am...
I hate when he does different voices on songs. |

| Id much rather keep the good artist underground and leave the mainstream mainstream. I could careless about any of those dudes, I never listen to the radio nor do i watch any of the music channels. |

| yea Nas is definitely up there as being one of my favorite hip hop artist, i heard some of his tracks from his new album and i have to say from what i've listened to so far it sounded great! it changes from the typical mainstream southern rap and their stupid grills. |

| Nas is just about the only rapper I like these days. I think he is brilliant and you wont find me saying that about anything in hip hop lately. |
