Season finale, anyone?

:stongue:

Or even better. Throw this huge bash. Then when they're supposed to give the girl/boy the car, they acually boot them out and force them to live on their own for good.

Depends on life circumstances and emotions at the time... I can imagine doing either. Honestly, if I knew it were gonna happen 15 minutes from now, I couldn't tell you what my decision would be right this minute, even being in college with jobs and volunteer work and friends and a whole future ahead of me. I just don't know.

And that's coming from someone who has always been strongly pro-choice.

Sounds odd coming from someone who I distinctly remember saying "I'MMA GUNNA EATCHOR BEBEZ!" only a few years back. :p

That's always a third option... I hadn't thought of that... hmm.... thanks, Yan!

Wow... it appalls me that there are women out there that would even CONSIDER carrying a baby conceived from rape to full term.

It is ONLY a clump of cells in the beginning. You aren't killing anything, you just aren't sustaining it so that it can become something.

Like picking a booger out of your nose. If you would just leave it there, it will grow and become a nice big slimy infection, with a perogative to take over your immune system... OR you could get rid of it, and simply put a stop to that potential.

Do you feel bad for picking your boogers?

I don't.

Therefore... I say abortion.

I totally lolled at my own analogy!

As I'm on the Implanon, there's a good chance I wouldn't get pregnant anyway. If I did after being attacked, I wouldn't keep the baby.

I enjoyed babysitting in my early teens and I seem get along with kids, especially with my little cousin who's now 8 (last time I babysat her, she was 2), but I'm not ready to have kids myself in any circumstance.

i'm shocked at your answer! i would totally understand why someone would. this is a possible life, and you can hardly say, just b/c it was conceived of rape, therefore automatically you shouldn't have it. part of the pro-choice perspective is just that - the choice to decide if you would want to bring this fetus to term. and if anyone is able to separate how the child was conceived from the human being it becomes, or is able to turn a horrific event into the gift of a child, then i'd commend them, for having the strength most of us wouldn't

If you plan to have it, then you should keep it. If you're going to send it off to be adopted, then what is the point?

Dump the poor thing off because it isn't wanted? How is that a way to start a life? Leaving it with the liklihood of staying in the system, and bouncing from foster home to foster home? Read what weiner said. Her brother is socially dysfunctional, and has had a life of hell and suffering. He says he wouldn't want to have been aborted, but who would? It is natural human instinct to wish to survive.

Can you even imagine knowing that you were the creation of a horrific incident such a rape? Can you even conceive the implications of that?? That would be, in my opinion, one of the most heart wrenching, horrible thing to live with. WHY would you let a group of cells fulfill its potential to face that? It is much more brave, in my opinion, to realize that you are saving someone a world of suffering by not allowing those cells to expand into a human.

So what? You went through the emotional trauma of going to term with the baby. Good for you, takes some balls. Dumping it off though? That is cowardly. Can't take responsibility of your decision to let it grow? It is your human obligation to take care of what you create, and if you conciously decide to let it become a human, then you should own up to the consequences, and take care of it too.

Adoption is bull.

Decide that you can't own up to your choice to let that potential exist, so you pawn off your unwanted leftover for someone else to take care of? That is bull!

You think having the baby and putting it up for adoption is braver? I disagree. Being brave is having the baby and keeping it. THAT is true bravery, and any woman who could do that should be greatly commended.

Having the baby and disowning it? Pure bull.
