As long as they're smoke-free and healthy, that's all that matters. :)

What are the chances of a relapse with this kind of treatment?

Of course going cold turkey is much harder than using a patch, laser, gum, hypnotism or prescription meds like Zyban. But if you can avoid the horrible withdrawals, why not? Quitting is quitting.

If someone told me there was a magical box I could walk thru, where I would come out 100 pounds lighter looking fit and trim without any side effects, there is NO way in hell I'd say "Nah, I'll go hit the gym, diet and exercise, have hunger pains and cravings, be fighting the urge to eat bad foods, and continue to yo-yo in weight til I get it right, just to say I did it myself". We are a society of quick and easy fixes. (and for the record, this is not my opinion on surgical ways to quick fix- those have high risks, and u can't go in blindly).

Besides, if this can be an inspiration to even one more person to quit (whatever method they use), then its worth it.

Well that's what I said. :p

You didn't answer my question about relapse? I'm sincerely interested to know. :)

Sadly, I dont know any stats, but the guy who recommended it & 5 of his referrals are all still smoke-free for a year now.

Hey Boyz & Gurls,

thanks for the good Cheer;) it's like a support line;)

So yeah ~ It's been a week one day and twelve hours (if ya really want to know;)) and I haven't had one puff of ANY smoke - plus I haven't been replacing it with anything either, which is super fantastic. Anyways, just never ask me for a smoke and everything will be fine:)! HAha, It feels so good to be able to breathe - but I have a soar throat though, my snoringhas increased that it wakes me up but I will be seeing the lady Dr. for that on Monday. I realize I can't chew to much gum cause it's hurting my jaw, past dental issues and giving me headaches from chewing to much of it - so I don't bother with that aid.

:)

I don't crave it at all and this is without any additives- it's great:) woohoo - I recommend it to anyone.

So Dallas, do you just not feel like smoking? Or do you suddenly think the idea is just crazy? Are you grossed out by smoking now?

I just don't feel like smoking, I don't have any desire, no cravings and this is after meals, when I wake up and after booty;)!

well if you smoke that would cause chance of failure and the risk of the cravins to come back again - but since we have passed that three day stage without any nicotine in the body it's easier to get rid of the cravings...

I don't care to have any - but say I smoked someone elses Joint with a lil bit of nicotine/tabacco in it then I might fall off the wagon:9 and I don't want to do it - so as it's been recommended - I will roll my own, but really i am not even smoking that these days either:)...

I get these lil' cravings here and there, but once I smell smoke on someone else or in the air it simply disgusts me! So it’s DAY 13!

That is great! Congrats Dallas and Graham, and the same to everyone else who is a quitter!

I too have not had any cigarettes since Jan 3rd 2007. I have not stopped smoking joints and it does not affect me one bit. No cravings, no smoking, no nasty smells, no stained teeth, no hacking. I love it.

Go! Quitters! Go!
