Why don't we put all the druggy threads in a subforum or sticky them?
Because it's not reasonable to do so. People who do drugs will click on and post in the druggy threads. Those who don't do or don't enjoy drugs won't.
People who enjoy listening to radio will click on and post in the the radio thread. Those who don't listen to streams or those who aren't interested won't.
People who enjoy pics will click on and post in the pictar thread. Those who don't, won't.
There aren't that many youtube threads. It's not difficult to not watch the videos. I rarely watch them.
It's not difficult to not click on the threads. And god forbid, you click on one not realizing what's inside, just close it quickly! You're not scarred for life.
If enough people aren't interested, the threads fall off the first page.
Plain and simple.
That is my feeling. No need for a subforum and no need for a sticky. |

I don't see it as an issue at all - we just need people to stop making a brand new thread every time they see something cool on Youtube. I think I did it once, but there was a discussion to go along with it as well, not just a title, a video, and absolutely nothing else.
I would never, ever trudge through a stickied "videos thread" - maybe other people would, but I simply do not care to wade through random videos by the hundreds, just for the hope that I might find one that suits my interests or is amusing in some way - it's too random and unorganized, I cannot select my attention as well as when it is a single thread or a discussion to go along with a video.
I propose that more people haze the dolts who make an entire thread where the original post consists of 1 video. The mods shouldn't have to organize everything for people - let others speak their minds about how idiotic it is to make an entire thread all about 1 video and no discussion on it whatsoever. Let's strive a little more for quality, people. Bring the fight to the idiots! |
