Jamie is pretty assertive, so maybe that cancels it out? :conf: |
This is not assertive behaviour, it's passive aggressive:

I should ease out of this friendship carefully. I’ve already stopped talking to Oscar for the past week or so, and that’s kind of obvious.

I know she knows what do though...she just loves to share her drama with us. The c0re wouldn't be the same without it. ;) |

From Wikipedia: "Passive-aggressive behaviour refers to passive, sometimes obstructionist resistance to authoritative instructions in interpersonal or occupational situations. It can manifest itself as resentment, stubbornness, procrastination, sullenness, or intentional failure at doing requested tasks. For example, people who are passive-aggressive might take so long to get ready for a party they do not wish to attend that the party is nearly over by the time they arrive."
Shame on you, Sly. |

I'm sorry. :( I feel so confused now. How do I know if I am passive-aggressive? |

Passive-aggressive people generally tend to not do any "dirty work". They cope with their issues in roundabout ways as opposed to facing them head on.
In Sly's case here...instead of just being straight up with the guy and telling him what her prob. with him is and why she can't be friends anymore, she chooses to just "stop hanging out with him". |

| Ah! Gotcha. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to PM someone to PM you to explain that we can't hang out any more. Kthxbye! :D |

| Yeah thats a perfect description of passive agressive haha. Its what I used to do to get out of work. Id keep saying I dont know how to do that, ive never done it before, can they help me, and then Id break the object I was using and ask if I can borrow some cash to go get a new one and.. it was endless so the person would just start doing it themselves because it took less time and energy than trying to get me to do it right |
