Musically one party definitely stands out in my mind. Labour of love in 2006. I arrived at the guv for open and didn't leave until Benny B.
Brad Copeland
Luke Fair
Hernan Cattaneo
John Digweed
I'd pay big money to see Hernan followed by Digweed. Doesn't get much better than that. |

| whats wrong with u people.. every night is a top night.. it just gets better and better.. nothing is tops for me ... although I entered the club scene when i was like 22 and only started going more often now.. as far as main room goes i think every dj is equally good in there.. it all depends on your taste i guess.. I would really like to hear laid back luke play the main room! |

I forget the specific event (it might have even been boa-night) but here is the tale of G-Man and The Wheelchair |
I'm pretty sure it was the boa-night. Either that one or the Guv 10 year. I laughed about that story for the next few days after you told me hahaha. |

Once you go to Guv enough times you'll understand that it is very hit n miss .... I’ve had some great times there and I have had some of the worst nights of my life there. I would love to be able to say it all comes down to the music but this is not true at Guv. There are many factors that can make or break a night. I think what it is for me most it's the Vibe. Sometimes it's awesome and other times it's just SKETCH!
All access is the worst, my dislike with all access go to the point were I refused to attend all access events for over a year and just started going to them again last year. IMO then main room is the worst out of all the rooms in the whole complex, its always way too packed and because of this you can't dance because all night no matter were you are on the floor there is people pushing and shoving trying to get somewhere. The Guv is great for the size of the complex and the options it gives it's patrons most nights they have something for everyone. |

very well said.. but I believe it also has to do with your mood in general.. or vibe as you mentioned.. Luckily for me,, every night i have gone has been better and better each time.. As far as pushing and shoving goes.. its like that everywhere.. i think its actually worse at CiRCA.. I try to find a spot in the main room where its not crowded... and i usually find a good spot.. for people who don't wear earplugs - it's best to stand outside the main room speakers the ones that pump out the >100 db's if u stand outside you won't get more than 100 db.. and as far as CiRCA goes -i surprisingly did not go deaf after which usually happens after GUV.. |

Erick Morillo - Boxing Day 99? Hearing Fly Life (Extra) was gold.
First time seeing Oakenfold in Toronto. LTJ played first in Warehouse, then they let everyone stream into Guv. Oakenfold supposedly played at Fluid on a Tuesday soon after because I think people didn't get into Guv, but that could be folklore. Oh, that was the Love party in Feb 99? for Valentine's Day. Probably 3rd would be Sasha & Digweed for Canada Day way back when as well. |

I mean the fact that RJ can't remember which club said story took place in is a story in itself. He describes where he was standing and what podium he was looking at, yet can't remember if it's Guv or Boa? wtf lol
Surely it's Guv, did Boa ever have wheelchairs handy? lol this thread is jokes. |

It was at Guv (hence "a trip to the Guv infirmary"). By "boa-night" I meant the feather-boa night at Guv (Dubfire). |
