I used to go to Darkraves religiously every month when they used to be at Holy Joes. Now they're at Funhaus and aren't nearly as good. I don't think that venue is meant to hold a darkrave. I'm also kinda sad that the Just 1 Fixx and R3515t0r parties came to an end. They were a lot of fun too.

Remember getting taken to Industry back-in-the-day - but at the time wasn't into music that much so still to this day have no idea who was playing.
But the events that pulled me into this scene were the night that Oakenfold played at Tonic on a Wednesday night and the Meow events with Warren and Sasha (and their after parties ;) )

my thoughts exactly,, my first guv party was around that time around 02-04 those two years i was just getting into it. I remember when the dj booth was way high up. The only thing I remember for sure seeing was this dood smoking next to me and all of the sudden he climbs the 12" speaker and dances on top of it and the crowd goes wild. next thing i know bouncers are squeezing threw everyone and the guys still dancing on top of the speaker and smoking like crazy,,oakey was enjoyin it!

the second party was around 03 (i am guessing) to see tiesto at the docks.. only thing i remember was the crowd yelling ti -est -ooooo, and my friend was saying ...are they saying " dan has coke " >>>>>>??? ahhaha.. i also remember the crowd being sooo loud that tiesto couldn't hear anything and it made him mess up the track...

great times!

Espresso
Used to go to Tonic and System sound bar back in 2000, but my first official rave (NYE 2000):

2001: A Groove Odyssey
The biggest rave this New Years Eve on the east coast will be in Toronto Canada. Between Destiny Productions, Liquid Adrenaline, and Big Bud, three powerhouse rave crews formed together to bring A Groove Odyssey.

It’s being held at one of Toronto’s biggest venues, The Better Living Centre–CNE, with over 200,000 square feet of dancing room, the venue will be divided into four separate rooms, Techno/House, Jungle, Hardcore/Breaks and a Trance/Hardhouse room. With more than 10,000 plus attending at the stroke of midnight when 2001 arrives, all rooms at The Better Living Centre will be electric.
